Let’s Rally Gang - an update on our Bad Ass Bass Gal @PamPurrs

Been traveling for work all week and late to the posting party but was SO happy to see multiple posts from our “Pammy.”

We will take the positive forward momentum, and continue our prayers for God’s blessings on you with continued positive results!

PS - Forgive me @PamPurrs for the use of “Pammy.” I hope no one has ever used that nickname with you in a derogatory manner? Just my attempt at friendly humor with one of the “greatest friends I’ve never met.”

An update on my second chemo infusion yesterday:
It went well except for the end when the intense pain sharp pain behind my ear returned with a fury. Oddly, this is the same pain I experienced back in December and January, which led me and my primary physician to believe I had an ear infection. Little did we know this cancer tumor was developing on the base of my tongue, and shooting the pain up the TMJ nerve to my left ear.
I left the Cancer center and managed the pain with morphine and Tylenol. I was able to get a good, pain free night’s sleep last night.
Today I feel good, with only low level pain concentrated in the area of my left ear. I take this as a sign that the cancer is retreating. Also, the swelling of my tongue has gone down and it has become more mobile. Today, I was able to lick my lips for the first time in almost 2 months! I’m thinking of giving solid food a try soon.
Once again, thank you for all your encouragement, prayers, positive energy, and candles. It all works.

Thanks for the update @PamPurrs, it hasn’t quite been the same in here without you. Did you ever think you would be grateful to lick your lips? I myself take way to much for granted.

Keep being strong and this too shall pass.
