But he switched to a J, not to a P!

hmm yes, i think you’re correct. i was thinking more along the rick to fender lines. if you DON’T have it and your a fan the book is amazing, and not too pricey on kindle.

I’m proud of myself.
Today, I withstood the temptation to aim my wallet at this Cort P/J.

It has Samick written all over it – it’s made in Indonesia, and using the same bridge, the same fretboard and the same tuners as my Gregg Bennett Fairlane.
Should be a nice bass, and at 80 euros it’s probably a steal.

But I just bought a zoom multieffect thingy, and on top of that, my wall is filled to capacity.

Ha-ha . . . I like the way you put that, @peterhuppertz

ā€œaim my walletā€ at it . . .

Thanks, I needed that

I’ve been looking at the Orange o bass for a little while. Brightish sounding p bass with a LP body.

What I didn’t know is that they do them in orange. Really bright orange.

I love the colour orange. I really do.

Can we see where this is going?

I may or may not have already made room for it!!

Oh dear.

I might. I’d have to re-arrange the room, but it’s possible.
However, in an effort of self-preservation, I’m just being terribly mature about this.

How boring. I know.

It sounds like it’s on your mind though  You know what it’s like when it gets in your mind…

Aaaaaand I’ve bought that orange bass!!!

Peter, these brackets allow three bass in the space of one bass.

I’d keep hitting my head against my own instruments.

Yes. It’s usually followed by the sound of a little vortex in the drain that is your bank account.

Haha yes I know that follow up thought too.

But my mind will rationalize it insanely. For instance, I thought I’d better not etc, and left it.

And then 20 minutes later, this thought pops into my head - ā€œHey, but think about it, you’re not spending money at the pub, you’re not spending money on fuel for the car, lockdown could last for ages, there was only 2 in stock (admit this one was weak), you might as well dive into the hobby you love the mostā€

And then I click, ā€œplace orderā€

Soooooo recognisable.

But I’m not biting. No sir. I am strong, I can resist this. Hnnngnn.

Nobody can fault logic like that . . . .

I am willing to bet that every married man is acutely aware that it can be faulted.

Oh yeah, agreed. But I’m single at the moment so insane logic is winning hands down at the moment. It’s pointless for me to even attempt resistance

I beg to differ, @quadfather . . . there is nothing at all ā€œinsaneā€ about your logic. In fact, it is among the most rational reasoning I’ve seen on these boards.

Cheers, Joe

Well, petrol and pub is more than Ā£300 a month for me, so I’m effectively saving money
