I really like those Saturn switches. So compact. Wish I knew. I bought the VooDoo Labs one but it’s so freakin looooooooong.
My idea was to be able to switch between preamp pedals as I only use one at a time.
Next I want to take all my reverb/delays and put them on one of the loops, and maybe even my upfront pedals to leave a minimal chain of tuner and compressor only if desired, but need some cables to come in first.
He’s got quite a few listings on reverb and will make pedals to order as well. Always answered my questions and was super accommodating.
This is what’s in the middle of my left side ring switcher. He put it with the bypass switch and boost into the standard loop switcher enclosure for me.
they make mostly utility pedals and super cheap too. really cool company. they also do custom work.
Current iteration of the pedalboard….
My “preamp switcher” is now also a “effects bank” switcher (using the other few in/outs). This allows me to add in signal chain Vs running through ~20 pedals: from a tuner and switch only to an “all in” extravaganza.
Yep- there’s a space awaiting it’s inhabitant early next year.
I thought I was the only who hand drew the cabling diagram. I’m so relieved @John_E
If I don’t I forget what’s going on under there. !!
I get it. This was before I ran the power!! Good thing I’m making cables for all this. I can lose about 8 feet of resistance!! Loop switchers do add a form complication don’t they…
Oh! Sexy pedal board wiring.
Yeah that’s very nice wiring there
@John_E at this point I would be asking myself serious questions like “do I ever actually use this wah pedal”. Though it looks like you and I did tie for the same number of concurrent preamps, so maybe I should just shut up
Expression pedal—
Messing around - yes. Recording - not yet. I love the variability on the Light pedal it brings.
needs an escalator
I need advice. I want to build a very small desktop pedalboard.
Something just for 2-3 pedals + PSU (ideally PSU hidden).
I’ve been browsing online shops, but everything I see is quite large for desktop standards.
Anything that you could recommend?
This looks pretty cool and about as small as I’ve seen.
Donner Small Guitar Pedal Board, Mini Effects Pedalboard Power Supply Set DB-S100 with Convertible Bag Backpack, 60" Adhesive Backed Hook-and-Loop and Power Supply Mounting Device,14.46" x 7.51" https://a.co/1KN6FUz
You could do a Pedaltrain Nano with a TrueTone 1-Spot power supply designed to hide under it.
I didn’t envision having alot of pedals and bought this one. Quality construction and it came with the wire management. My PSU is hidden underneath with velcro.
Hmm. Not everything is available in the UK sadly.
[edited my post]
I think I found a winner:
NUX Bumblebee
+3 sizes are available
+it is configurable to a certain extent (moving parts)
-don’t like the yellow
I used a Pedaltrain Nano with a Pedaltrain Volto battery power supply fitted in the recess underneath.
It makes for a compact rig that doesn’t need to be plugged in.
@jacq Alternatively, the HX stomp makes for a very compact desktop option.
And there’s this option (made in Europe) which looks very neat.
