Thanks, Jerry. Ordered one. Info only: At Sweetwater the 20’ is on sale at the same exact price as the 10’ ($36.50 off)

Well my pedal mania seems to have subsided, I haven’t really looked at pedals for a while
so here is where I landed with my pedalboard…

It is not a versatile setup, I have one sweet spot with all pedals on, and thats how it stays (with minimal tweeks)
but I love the sound I have got to and I really like hearing the sound I like coming out of the speaker as I play, rather than before having pedals where I could only achieve this sound after recording and processing in logic after the fact

@g13dip Would you mind walking through how it’s all connected?

With the JHS Color Box, I had read some complaints of low end loss. Has that been your experience?

Sure, it goes
bass>
steel leather expander>tranzformerCMP comp>wahfull fixed wah>multicomp comp>echo fix spring reverb>diamond bass comp/eq>solodallas bassX boost+eq/clipper+limiter
orange cable to>little stubby 30w tube amp [with floor Q in fx loop]>suhr reactive load box>colour box console gain/distortion+eq>laney 500w amp

sounds like a lot of overlaps there but they all serve a vital and unique purpose in the final tone I assure you

As far as the colour box and any low end loss, its possible I guess, I do have a pretty large ‘pultec bump’ going on with the EQ, but as I am blasting the pedal with a line level signal out of the load box it is probably not a good test case anyway
the wahfull definitely drops the low end but I can get it back later in the chain and it is worth it for the sound

Never mind that @eric.kiser I’m more interested in that sweet breakfast tray.

A definite upgrade from my original pedal(chopping)board which (as you can see) is now is used for the power supply to sit on :+1:

The next logical step is a Lazy Susan. Simply rotate it to get to whichever pedal you need next

Dang it @Barney! I really want to make that now.

Hey Gang,
I’m GASing for a tuner pedal. Can you give me some suggestions ?

Thanks!

Well, it will be the usual suspects popping up
tc electronic PolyTune3
Peterson StroboStomp
Korg Pitchblack

Some are available in mini version.
And for some reason, Boss rarely gets mentioned in the forum :person_shrugging:t3:

Strobostomp.

If you go tc, IMO you dont need polytune because I doubt you’ll be tuning chords. They have a unitune I believe. At least, thats the clip on that i have from them…

Thanks @Krescht , @John_E and @skydvr ! I checked them out and Strobostomp is the winner. My local GC has them in stock and it’s such a beautiful day I think I’ll take a ride and pick one up.

My Peterson went in the drawer after getting this one. Faster and easier to read for me. Preferences I guess.

Not familiar with that one. Only have the one stomp, but it blew my clip-ons out of the water (although the tc is good). The B1four tuner is certainly usable but i thought the peterson was much better.

I have and use a Boss TU-3 regularly. They work just fine and can be found used for around $60.

Thanks Dave, I am going to give it a try. Not really digging the read out on my Peterson.

Have you tried changing the colors? I didn’t like the orange myself so mine is now purple.

Maybe time for a new glasses prescription?
