Oh Hilary!

Even better down here SW of Macon… Allman Brother land man…

Not now anyways but out your way there are plenty of weather systems.

The one thing I am sure of about the CA storm is that at some point, PG&E will completely sh*t the bed and handle it poorly.

All the time @Al1885… We’re in Hurricane season now here on the East Coast - have been since June and will last till November… Every year the same… we consistently deal with these things like a teenager deals with acne…

Hoping y’all stay safe and hunkered down over there… :red_gift_envelope:

^^^From the Midwest through the South all the way to the East Coast, some serious-ass weather has been wreaking havoc for months.

I agree wholeheartedly with both of these statements.

California has the infamous PG&E to contend with. In Texas, we have the woefully, pitifully lame ERCOT power grid. It’s ridiculous how the two largest, most populated states can have such politically motivated and therefore shitty power infrastructures. Just un-fucking-believable.

YES, YES, YES… One of the wildest, weirdest summers I’ve seen down here in the South…

Totally. The beautiful thing (which confirmed all suspicions) was how much worse privatization made it when they tried it. LOL, Enron. Still cracks me up.

I don’t know if that was it or not but the wind picked up noticeably and I had about 10 minutes of hard rain and then that’s it. If the pattern continues we should be ok. Prolong squalling is not a scenario I want to see. Hope everyone experiences the same thing and not more.

Oh for real tacos yes. 110%.

Those are looking way more like Taco Bell than real though.

I love them crispy shell taco, if I wasn’t a food snob I’d have them all the time, lol.

What I can’t stand is the Taco Bell Gordita with the fried Pita bread wrapped the taco shell.

I love Taco Bell tacos and burritos. You just can’t think of them as being mexican food

Agree about the gorditas. Yuck.

Wow, Hilary is doing some serious number here. Fortunately, we are getting none of it, just some on and off rain. There’s a bit more tonight hopefully it’s more of the same.

The radar over SoCal at 11:42 pm shows the storm skirting LA as it moves NNE. :crossed_fingers:

Stay safe all. It’s strange watching a storm like this hit a place that doesn’t usually see these kinds of storms. I’m surprised by all the flooding.

I blame @booker_t for the quake.

Flooding is standard for a powerful, slow-moving storm like this. It always happens in low areas when the ground gets saturated, the city storm drainage system gets overloaded, and the water has nowhere to go but on top of itself.

Love the view from my restaurant this morning.

It would be even better looking in winter when it covered by snow. Gotta love SoCal man!
