@Alex-G Nice! I especially like how you let the wood show through as the lake on the first one! And the landscape with the fenceposts traveling over the mats, with that gorgeous sunset on the third! The beach scenes make me nostalgic, as its cold and dreary and rainy here now. Thanks for sharing! I’ll try and get shots of my works and post!

I love damascus steel! I have been fortunate enough to handle a good few quality English shotguns with damascus barrels in my time. Combine that with a figured walnut stock and it’s definitely a thing of beauty to behold

It’s a “workshop” kinda day today…. Got a few old knives to restore and some chain saws to sharpen up for some timber work over the next few days…. Seems I’ve worked harder since I retired 10 years ago than I did when I actually had a “paying” job!!:rofl:.

Damn, if I had access to a place like that I might try to build a bass XD as I type that out I remember we have a makerspace locally…

I’m an avid classic car lover (I currently have a 1969 Ford Fairlane), an avid gamer who, ironically, only plays one game (Elder Scrolls Online) and an Advance-class Amateur Radio operator. I like to keep busy

I got really close to getting a radio license. I was studying for it at the local makerspace and the night of the big test we were going to take, an ice storm hit and everything shut down. The next week I went out of the country, and just lost my steam after it XD

I still listen to the local police and fire on the little Baofeng radio I got around that time frame.

It’s a worthwhile pursuit, I think. Communicating with someone 5000 miles away by bouncing your signal of the atmosphere is pretty exciting stuff.

Hooked up an old cassette deck I found in my closet to my computer :eyes:

Whyp.it seems to be having trouble, but my pCloud has plenty of space. Naturally, the first thing I recorded off an old janky tape lol… can also see my two radios in the background; excellent sample fodder.

Finally put these up…

that little light off by itself… ghost? Did the glowing dragon flies attract a faerie?

I never did figure out who Marconi is, but they say he still plays the mamba to this day…

I was alive and watching MTV in the 80s. :upside_down_face:
Marconi is credited with inventing the radio.
