not sure if its exactly its own hobby (to me it is just another part of my arsenal of tools/materials to make things with) but as it turns out 3D printers have gotten very very good and very very affordable so i snagged one and its been fantastic. this is a bambu labs A1 - highly reccomended!

I’ve got a resin based printer that hasn’t gotten much use lately as I can’t be arsed with the hassle of it, and I’m a bit put off by the health risks. Thinking I might go back to a filament based setup, and this Bambu is very tempting.

agreed - i dont think resin 3d printing is something i ever want to mess with in terms of the current way the workflow operates — way way way too messy & toxic, but the FDM world is really pretty excellent. bambu is kind of the “apple” of 3d printing — very very seamless and refined.

A hobbies thread?! Like there is more to life than bass! LOL

j/k

I dabble sometimes in archery… compound bow

Last summer I was too busy with work to even loose 1 arrow tho… Maybe next season.

Nice, I haven’t shot a bow in a few years, but I do have a Barnett crossbow in the armory that I loose on occasion!

My neighbor has a crossbow (scoped)… he’s a bit scary with it when we shoot together… he hasn’t got the thing sighted in properly yet… LOL

It has a SCOPE… Set it UP! LMAO

I prefer bingbangs, but my local shooting club also has some archery butts, so the lads sometimes let me draw a few in exchange for some shots at the trap stands.

I have a few of those too! My career in the Navy involved those, so I had to continue. (Maybe more than a few)

I’ve been doing astrophotography for the last couple of years.
Unfortunately had to sell most of my gear after being laid off from work.
But that’s all behind me, but I do miss it.

Took these from an apartment balcony surrounded by street lights LOL
