Show me your pedalboard set ups. Love to see the variety of how each player does their own. I’ll start…..

Thanks - anxiously awaiting the first step in filling in the top part with a wholly new to the world, crazy pedal thing. Man, I wish I was retired so I can get to all the things I want to do with this board.

Nice.
I just got the MXR bass synth and added it for my annual gig (fundraiser at my kids school where my wife teaches).

Used the synth pedal for:
Hey Ya (when the synth goes nuts during the breakdown?? Perfect.)
Let’s Hear It For The Boy (sounded just like the record)
Had it on for others, but those two were dead ringers, and I had so much fun with it.

No photo, just still stoked on that new purchase and happy to see it out there.

I revisit Prototype every few months. It’s the main reason that I keep a bass with flats sitting around. I love that bass line. One day I’ll get it down and sounding good.

I have been using a cheap distortion pedal for years. Last week on a whim I bought the MXR super badass distortion pedal. Maybe I should stop buying cheap pedals. This distortion pedal sounds so good! I’ve just left on on for days, I love the grit and it keeps the low end in there too.

I agree but I’d stress that there’s a difference between “good” pedals and boutique pedals. Some boutiques are phenomenal (Strymon reverbs) and some are either super niche or outright meh. Some big name pedals are great, Boss stompboxes are a good example. Also, what you gel with isn’t going to be what I dig (I’m not an EHX fan for instance).

Oh for sure. The biggest downside is trying out all the pedals to get to the ones you like.

I’ll have to look into that one, I’ve tried a handful of synth pedals and they’ve left me feeling like I’m looking for a unicorn.

You’re welcome…

Caution - you could spend months playing with, learning programming the damn thing, or, just download 100+ user created synths into the pedal and go nuts

The MXR bass synth was the unicorn for me.
I never found one I liked before.
I don’t know the one John_E mentioned below.

Technology is finally here to allow us to live our synth dreams, and that is lovely.

Okay… I’ve got it narrowed down to two! I’ll check out some videos and see what happens.

A sincere thanks for the recommendations.

These two are like comparing apples and roller skates. lol. Have fun! FYI BUY USED!
