Plugins I Have Known And Loved

I was jamming in my little music room with Atomika this morning and my wife came in and closed my door “because it was too scary.”

Polivoks mission accomplished

@terb seriously this one is great.

Maybe a good time to post a reminder that I am selling Amplitube 5 MAX and Darkglass Ultra

KHs Black Friday sale is on, and among other great deals, Multipass is half off:

So, if anyone is considering buying one or more FabFilter plug-ins here during Black Week, let one of us who already own some make a referral. That gets you 10% extra off the price and a little kickback to the referrer. It’s win-win really.

I own some of their plugins, as does Howard (AFAIK), and probably a few more in here.

Just saying…

Yeah I own Pro-Q. Great EQ, more or less the gold standard. I also own Saturn, a pretty interesting distortion.

Neuraldsp Black Friday 50% off sale is live. The standalone app has a fantastic metronome if that’s what you buy your plugins based on.

I also am selling Darkglass Ultra right now but will probably put it on hold until their sale is over.

Amplitube 5 Max too.

Pro-Q 4 just released. 85 euros for me to upgrade so I will skip for now.

A bit less for me, but still some dough (66 Euros)…

I like the FabFIlter line of plugins, I have Pro-Q3 and the upgrade is ~$63

Don’t know if I have enough experience or need to upgrade through.

I use the full Ableton Suite and that has some pretty awesome plugins.
But buying plugins is just another rabbit hole like all my hobbies LOL

I have Amplitube 5 Max too. It would be better, if you could use the amps, pedals etc individually, not as an all-in-one solution.

Still it’s really not bad - and more stable than BIAS F/X for example.

@howard - I got a good offer for ToneX Max.
Is it any good?

You can, it works fine as a plugin to use just the amp sims.

What’s everyone’s go-to plug-in for de-clicking audio tracks? RX (Elements)?? Are there any alternatives??

Yeah there’s definitely other audio repair tools. However RX is famous and is good.

Is this for a track you are working on or a pre-existing one? I would try and find and isolate the problem before mastering if it is in one of your mixes.

Well, in this particular case, it’s a track that I have recorded and was mixing earlier today with my teacher. There were some clicks on the track from when I “fixed” some timing issues but wasn’t quite careful enough… He had the RX8 de-click plug-in and that did the job. So, we did it way before mastering on a single track.

So, I am figuring such a plug-in could come in handy. It seems only available as part of the RX Elements AFAIK. THat’s about 100 Euros outside of a sale, which is a bit steep…

You can often get the iZotope "Elements’ plugins on steep sale or even free on PluginBoutique. I would just keep an eye out.

Hmm, I had thought I remembered FabFilter had one but it looks like they do not.
