Yeah Iā€™m trying to tidy the fingers up a bit but I think the problem is my finger muscles are a little weak: itā€™s easier for me to kind of keep the finger straight and use the palm muscles to flap the whole finger around. I could run into some speed issues in the future but itā€™s doing the job now :slight_smile:

Really well played, @Paul_9207! Coming through my monitors the bass is not too low at all, in fact I would have mixed it down a bit more. No worries about the level at all.

Interesting this one is plucked. Isnā€™t P-Nut a slap bassist usually?

Thanks guys! I cut the bass out of the original song as much as possible, I just always want to make sure itā€™s my bass that is coming through so I get concerned about the levels. I appreciate the positive feedback.

He does slap a lot and when he does itā€™s usually fast with a lot ghost note triplets mixed in with his pops or something that I canā€™t really wrap my head around. So luckily he has a few songs like this that I can play along with.

Edit: On a side note, seeing Charles being percussive in that video - Have noticed since changing acoustic that the one with the F holes definitely is less good for bashing around making percussive sounds via the body than a conventional one with the big olā€™ soundhole in the middle
