Canāt wait to write my annual report of the thread, and to remember to please write clearly the author and name of the song it saves me a lot of time ā¦ otherwise I have to use Shazam everytime to keep a list of each cover, and it does not work everytime.

Iām not sure if this qualifies as a cover Itās a Jaco inspired ballad piece. I had to make a 2 track as Iām still working on playing a few notes simultaneously and still keep the vibrato, lol.

My last cover of the yearā¦ TOM SAWYERā¦
Not a great cover, but this song was on my 2022 list to do, and with the onset of āuncontrollable tremorsā due to old age, I needed to get this one done before things get worseā¦ Gonna stick to āOld/Slowā bass covers from here on outā¦ 
I put this one together for the Submarine Force that I served in from 1971 - 1977ā¦ 50 years ago this Christmas, we were on one of our many deployments to the South China Sea off the coast of Vietnamā¦ Things didnāt go too well out there for us at that time and we ended up in the shipyard in Yokosuka Japan for a month getting repairs to the boat (Submarines are called āBoatsā) taken care ofā¦
Not my best bass performance, and there are some timing issues, but it (audio and video) was all done in one take.

You did great, much better than I can play it. I had to laugh when you were wiggling you fingers before that fast part, I do the exact same thing. This is so much fun to play and great way to end the year.
