The Beatles - Come Together
Paul originally used his Rickenbacker 4001S for this recording.
Listening to the original recording, Paul seems to alternate between staccato and legato when playing the variations of the riff (D) of the first and subsequent verses.
He also doesn’t do a slide when playing the second riff (A) although I could fit a slide in there because it’s just the first riff repeated again but in A.
Overall, this is a simple, hypnotizing bass line that is surprisingly hard to get it 100% correct (myself included). I think this bassline just shows again how good of a bassist Paul McCartney is.
