Here is a song I’m performing in a couple of weeks! It’s Evangeline by Jason Joshua and The Beholders.

Also wanted to post this one from a while back! This is my brother and I playing along to a drum track for Dr. Feelgood, by Mötley Crüe.

Great right hand muting technique. There’s no flyin notes. Good job @beaurapp

Just work on your break, you looked surprised when it’s up, lol.

@g13dip Thank you so much! It is a fun song to play. How long have you played drums?

@Al1885 Thank you! I focused a lot on muting technique for this show. Getting a clean sound when playing soul music seemed like a very important thing to get down.

You’re right about that break haha. I sometimes get a little too into a flow state when playing.

Also, thanks for the Dr. Feelgood comment! I also felt good about the mix! I’d probably put it down to that magic sauce that the P bass seems to have.

Excellent covers @beaurapp! I love the smooth bassline in the first song, well played. You and your brother sounded fantastic on the MC tune, and it looked like a lot fun. Maybe you guys should replace the real band on tour.

@dlamson13 Thank you! I also love that bass line. Learned it by ear with some help from my teacher!

Also thank you for the comment on the MC cover! Hahah it would be fun and scary to take over for them. I have to admit that they have sounded pretty rough in the recent live recordings I saw.

Aw, Thanks @g13dip!
Tricky and fun.

The speed ramp-up process really helped me with this one.

@cheeze_pizza Awesome cover! Your tone is great! Great song choice as well. The Strokes are a lot of fun. I’ve been debating between Darkglass and Sansamp for a preamp.

Thanks for the compliments on my bass! Been loving it. It’s a Fender Player limited edition with an ebony fretboard.

Your P bass also looks great! I’ve seen those Squiers with the gold pickguard and they look super cool.

Thanks man! I don’t know much about Sansamp but I have really been enjoying the Darkglass. Some of the folks have chattered about the Ampeg’s latest preamp/DI and that one does look quite impressive.

I think I saw a bass like yours at a GC store in Charlotte back in February… I wasn’t able to get it off the wall as the store was bonkers and finding a worker to snag it wasn’t working out in my favor. That’s where I was able to finally put my hands on one of the red Squiers. At the time I was considering the Squier vs a Vintera in a similar finish.

The Squier is my only P bass (for now), and my only complaint is the fretwork. The edges of the frets are not sharp but not as smooth as they could be either. I think Fender has those basses down to $349 for the Labor Day sale. Sorry to incite any GAS!

Anyways, thanks again for checking it out!
