Nice @dlamson13 …love it you went for that high lick which is hard!
Great cover bro, really dug that!! Subbed to your channel too, thought I had already haha but I am now!
Great job gal, love this cover they did and you did it justice!
Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall
Hey everyone, I know it’s not a video, but what I did was reduce the gain of the original song track and play over it with a slight gain boost.
I realized I slipped up on the rhythm a few times as well as certain note durations. But this is my best attempt yet.
Any pointers (of course limited by audio only) would be welcomed.
I apologize if this isn’t allowed. I will promptly take it down if not.
I just saw the bit about entirely removing bass lines and I’ll try to do so for the next song.
Thank you.
That’s awesome @JustinAndSheba
You look so comfortable playing that bass. It kept sliding off my lap when I play without the straps.
I kept trying to figuring out what were you standing on Another great cover! @sunDOG
That’s a fun big hand effect love the drone shot under the bridge.
Don’t know about you @dlamson13 I’m totally jealous that she can sing and play 2 finger plugging too not thumb. Great Job @Morkai
If I may add for your repeat of this cover, intensity. It only has a few notes well spaced out, so each note can be play with more intensity, not louder but more intension, I guess that’s the word I’d put.
Didn’t know that you still play fretted bass. Great cover @dlamson13
I’ve been spending a lot of time on 6 strings guitars lately paying my dues to the Guitar goddess sacrificing my fingertips and one of the thing that I had to learn is to fret the E string with my thumb, I’d tell you my friend, it’s the most unnatural things I had to learn, well all of it are unnatural especially stretchy chords.
Love the syncopated groove @401Blues. you are right there! The only thing is the mute on E string. This is a really cool song.
Hehe, thank you.
I have definitely yet to get my thumb in strumming/plucking, it tends to be my anchor to keep my hand steady so I can find the other strings.
That said I finally unlocked pick playing skills tonight, just went through my full Linkin Park repertoire successfully tonight and was quite surprised at how easy it was to switch strings with no anchor. Haven’t tried Three Days Grace yet though, it’s midnight and I need to put the sprog to bed.
Unsurprisingly it might take a bit more to unlock singing and pick playing lol.
I do know exactly what you mean, when I’m playing in my headphones it does sound more intense. In reaper not quite so much, I even doubled the track on my last two covers which does help make it sound a bit err… thicker?.
I haven’t really played with the FX side of reaper at all though aside from a basic VST: ReaEq and VST: ReaComp which I got from a tutorial setup and haven’t changed since the first cover I did. I might have to look into that more.
Appreciate the feedback. Since you haven’t mentioned mids again I’m hoping that’s sorted, cause if not, I got other issues as they are literally all the way off, at least on my bass’s preamp.
super smooth as always!
Thanks @Paul_9207
I can’t even see myself playing on bass without feeling embarrassed… I fcking admire you all!
I’ve never heard this version. You did a great job on it Morkai! Nice tone as well.
Thanks. Mine has a folding leg rest so it stays in place pretty well.
Great job dlamson! We need more Tom Petty covers!
Very well done 401Blues! New Fender sounds great.
Awesome job chrissti!
No worries. The name of the thread is Post Your Covers. Audio only is fine.
Thanks Jerry!
Appreciate it. Will attempt another song next week.
