Most excellent… Maiden is probably my ultimate goal in bass playing. You make it look so easy.
One thing I’ve been struggling with on my pick playing is trying to find the sweet spot where I can reach all the strings, at the right angle and not completely knacker my inner forearm on the body of the bass.
I feel kinda daft that it didn’t occur to me to use a wrist band like that.

“Xanadu” by Rush.
I didn’t play it perfectly, but with the practice I have, that was the closest to it I got. Enjoy!
Does this song sound a little sharp? Because it is! In the original vinyl version, there wasn’t enough room on side A of the disc to fit this plus the title track and “Closer to the Heart,” so Rush had to shorten the song’s run-time slightly, which in turn increased the pitch slightly.
It’s still in E-major, but I had to tune all of my keys about a third of a step sharp to get it to sound right, because in standard E, it sounds awful!

Great playing man! You can also cross post it here if you want since it is part of the 50 Song Challenge. You may notice it sounds a little out of tune, not your fault, just the way the original was recorded.
Watching oncoming traffic fly by you on the right concerned me a bit until I remembered where you live
