Solid work as ever @JerryP
You were running it through a 300W bass head? Total beast ! I feel you had a lot of bass in your setup? Definitely needed considering all the mids in the mix with the strings, organ, guitar…

It truly is, especially the more I play it.
Arigato!
Thank you Nebel!
Dou itashimashite
The beast can be controlled. Thank you Ed!
@JerryP What a lovely tone, this sounds great!
Very nice, sir. Taj Mahal is a favorite and this song in particular always gets me going. You did a great job, man. That sounded great!
Jet - Are you gonna be my girl.
First “recording” with my new Ibanez bass. That spacing between the frets and having an extra string, has really been throwing me off since I got it. But I love the tone I get from it. It will be a while before it feels like playing my Cort.
Thank you saroohoo!
Thank you, @JerryP, it was fun to create the video!
@saroohoo, exactly. Or the Jed to Howard Jones in 1983 or Paul Rutherford’s role in Frankie Goes to Hollywood!
We have a couple more planned
Ha! Thank you, @dlamson13. I thought me role was to be embarrassing
Very well done Nebel! Excellent tone from the Ibanez.
Thanks @Shinyribs … Taj Mahal was a pioneer in the 60/70s blues scene…there are a few TM songs I need to get to.
Thanks Jerry, it’s a great sounding bass.
I love this image so much
Or Ranking Roger to your Dave Wakeling… should incorporate toasting
It is coming up to my 2 year bassiversary soon, so thought I would post a cover as part of charting my progress
Currently I am learning all the tracks from the Nirvana album In Utero…got about half of the 12 tracks down so far, so here my cover of a track from that album
Nirvana - Francis Farmer will have her revenge on Seattle
Since I recorded this to chart my progress, I treated it kinda like a live recital
This is the first and only take I recorded, few minor strum flubs in there but its a good record of my current ‘everyday’ playing level
Bass removed with Moises…recorded with my 1983 MIJ Fender Pbass through my pedal board into Logic (synced with the video in imovie)
Black Veil Brides - In the End
Holy crap! This is a first-take cover - never thought I’d see the day, LOL. This is pretty repetitive with lots of chugging so not terribly difficult but lots of fun to play. One of my daughters loves this song, so I had to give it a go. Drop C# tuning.
Great Tune!
Thanks Linda, it’s a blast to play!
@g13dip I’d forgotten how much I love this song - awesome job on the single take
