I decided to make my first cover raw and uncut. audio uncut, video uncut, heck I’m pretty sure I mixed up the takes and I have a different video for my audio (not on purpose).
They say the first time you do anything it will be a hot mess, so I’m just going to embrace this one being a hot mess. It’s not even my best song but just what I was practicing tonight.

Thanks! I held back the songs I have more success with since I needed to play that one tonight. I also think I have the recording process down pretty well. I’m not in love with the free video software but it works until I find another.

I do all of mine on an iPhone (well, I use two, depending on what I’m doing), recording in to GarageBand, shooting the videos on the phone, then merging the audio and video in iMovie. All apps bundled with the phone itself. The only app I actually pay for (in the context of making covers) is Moises. But I’m a cheapskate and would prefer to spend money on more basses

You play it skillfully and well but unfortunately (or not?) the bass riff is different than the one in A Forest. However if that was intentional then that’s cool. I do like what you did with it.

It was intentional. I don’t feel constrained by the need to create a facsimile of the original…
