Been a while since I’ve been around the forums - It’s been a hectic couple of months for me. Currently in the process of remodeling my downstairs bathroom and as a result my practice space is completely occupied with miscellaneous house & construction items.

I should have some time to catch up on what I’ve missed in the next couple weeks. Don’t really have a good way to film myself at the moment, but I"ve managed to knock out a couple songs today.

Alice In Chains - Put You Down

I loved learning this one. Really fun to play

Foo Fighters - Everlong

Didn’t realize this one was so simple. Not a perfect take but not bad for an hours practice

Muse - Supermassive Black Hole

I added some fuzz & distortion to this one, really happy with how it turned out. The chorus riff is just so tasty. You basically only need to learn 2 riffs and you can play this one.

I’ll probably film and repost these ones to my YouTube when I get my practice space back under control. Hope you guys enjoy!

Edit: filmed

Good covers mate, really like the AIC one.

:joy: Thanks Al. Yeah just about - my issue is the pick wanting to rotate around in my fingers as I play. The super grippy one helped a bit with that.

@Ant - They’re all just chef’s kiss. I always love a bit of AIC and you play it so well.

It sounded fine dude, worry not. You play some great tunes, play them well, and look like you are having fun. That’s all thats matters IMO

Hey dude, I’ve actually played with more than one team. One could get pretty loud depending on the song. The other team was more low key though. Playing praise music was pretty straightforward and easier to me, just mostly root notes at 4/4 time. Nothing crazy or anything. The sound guy had everything adjusted during rehearsal so I could play however I wanted to. It helps tremendously to have a good drummer to stay in the pocket as far as being easier too. I find it more intense playing for cover bands tbh. I get what you’re saying about playing in a cover band to start. That makes perfect sense to me. I had no issues with praise teams. You should give it a go!! When you’re ready that is :smirk:

Thanks lady!! I appreciate the comments. I do have a lot of fun playing bass that’s for sure!! :+1: I’ll get around to figuring out the audio/visual side of the stuff one day, right now I’m working on my band’s material so this YT thing is just for fun mainly. I love it, don’t get me wrong, but I’m literally and plug and play kinda guy haha  just knock ‘er out and move on.

My wife let it slip that I joined a band so I’m giving it 2 weeks until I get my calling. We’ll see, it’s hard for me because I saw how it became an obligation for my dad. If I praise I don’t want to be obligated but then again it ain’t all about me, so I guess I can deal.
