Time for test #2. Interpol again. I’m trying to pick some that are lighter on effects while I’m getting used to recording with this bass. It is in drop D again though. I think this one turned out a lot better. Going with fingers was a last second change. It turned out sounding warmer that way and I dug it. I’ve got a few more ready to record that I’ll get out before New Year’s (that aren’t the same band).
This one was recorded on a Yamaha BB734 into an SGT DI set on SVT and 4X10 with my Keeley comp.

Muchas gracias. I’m trying to decide whether I’m doing Danse Society or the Pixies next. I’m still struggling a bit with the Pixies song. The beginning is just bass and getting myself in time without anything to key off of is a coin flip.
