That was a lovely tribute Travis. Your dad sounds like a great man with a great taste in music.
Awesome playing Duncan!
There it is. Your first Pet Shop Lads? Well done!
Wow, that sounded awesome, top job Ed
It does indeed, and can feel like you will never get over it, but you will. Times like Christmas are very hard, we are here with you
Man Smooth Operator should be your “walk up” music , I just love hearing you play! I very much appreciate your encouraging words and taking the time to listen to all of our covers.
Thanks @dlamson13 love ‘em nostalgia songs.
Yep, Ziggy wondered what was going on! And yes, the 80s, very much my era!!
Thank you, @JerryP!
I think I need to do more!!
Time for test #2. Interpol again. I’m trying to pick some that are lighter on effects while I’m getting used to recording with this bass. It is in drop D again though. I think this one turned out a lot better. Going with fingers was a last second change. It turned out sounding warmer that way and I dug it. I’ve got a few more ready to record that I’ll get out before New Year’s (that aren’t the same band).
This one was recorded on a Yamaha BB734 into an SGT DI set on SVT and 4X10 with my Keeley comp.
Interpol - A Time to be So Small
This came out great. Sounds really good.
Muchas gracias. I’m trying to decide whether I’m doing Danse Society or the Pixies next. I’m still struggling a bit with the Pixies song. The beginning is just bass and getting myself in time without anything to key off of is a coin flip.
Thanks @AndreaJayne
Ha thanks I have really neglected my fingerstyle playing of late though. That might be a new year resolution…
Thanks @fennario
Wikkid good job! loved that dynamic drop near the end… you were dead-locked with the kick for that change… really good!
So… decided to try something different… like not needing tabs… and feeling the music for a damn change … lol ( y’know… how its s’posed to be… )
I’m kinda happy with this one.
She Talks to Angels - The Black Crowes
Awesome job faydout!
Well done John!
Very chilled out
Last Christmas song from me, I’ll have to crank up the loudness on my next cover!
I treated myself to a Sony ZV1 camera, and I am very happy with the quality, hence no effects to spoil it.
.Just me and a Christmas tree. And a bass guitar of course
Last Christmas - Wham!
