Post your covers! (2024)

Funky!!!
Any tips on getting that mid-range punch?
You carry it through all the basses!
Well done @Al1885

It really is a great great album, one of my faves for sure.
Your playing is fantastic as always on this.
Did not did the mix of the bass though, either too hot or too boomy, however, the technique and fretless did serve the song (as @PamPurrs always says) well.

Fun to watch too!
BTW< when are you getting a band dude?

Well played @alesplin
Agree tone a bit bass heavy / boomy, esp for Geezer lines.

Check this out - might help in that area…

Another great one @TheMadBassist
Can’t argue with a voice like that, even during their cheezier years, still rockin’ solid.

Yup. I’ve watched that like 3 times already. I think the main issue was the level imbalance between the bass and the audio in, but I do need to twiddle EQ a bit on my amp still.

Thanks @John_E , @terb , @Glenn and @JerryP !

Yup - can’t really say anything bad about this bass, but I probably should lower the action a bit more if I keep playing stuff like that

Thanks @John_E

Good ears man. on this song it was plugging position and angle of attack. I’m more toward the bridge and plugging fingers feels like it’s vertically over the strings. I had to trim my nails twice they kept catching the string and twang, :joy:

That’s awesome @alexav

Since you made it fashionable to use gigging musicians language, I’ll join you, :joy:

At 1:31 and 3:38 Go back and watch, you plugged that bass like it’s your b!tch! That’s what your want. The finger tone sounds great. I also like your left hand and how you are stretching them to fret the notes and building strength. It’s weak as sh!t right now but give it some times and your kung fu will be great.

Keep it up. Also props for having an 11 lbs bass and a 10 lbs cat on your lap,

I love the tone @alesplin. It’s pretty difficult to connect one note to the next with little break, and you did that masterfully.

Thank you so much! You’re very kind.
