Guns for hire is a fantastic song, Nervous Shakedown and Bedlam in Belgium too! I actually love that album haha
Love it bro!
That’s some playing @BumbleJazz I noticed at some point your fingers stretch spread over 7 frets😆
Love the aggression but still plenty of little nuances and articulations.
The production kinda kills it, but I still dig the record.
I should have known YouTube would screw me on this one because I had a different cover from that album blocked before. I thought I’d give it a shot because I see other bass players somehow getting away with covering the same damn song. I don’t understand the algorithm most of the time.
It seems like some things that are older are grandfathered in, but then some do get flagged and tagged. Vimeo is still ok but they keep warning that they will pull my stuff (Beatles/Eagles/AC-DC) but it all still stands there.
That’s so much fun to listen to. The intonation is just perfect and your slides and noodles are just amazing man. Love me some Bonnie too.
Great job @dlamson13
Same for me with Dio! I did a cover that I’ve seen others post on YT. Got blocked right away, so it ended up on Rumble. They haven’t touched it! That’s my back up channel for sure, where all the red headed step kids will be banished to when they are bad
Oh man! That’s a great cover. Nonstop groove is mentally challenging and your notes are even through out from the first measure to the 80th and the break has wonderful energy. Love your style @joergkutter
Thanks, @Al1885 - I am still working on achieving buddha-like calmness through the most syncopated grooves like you
Those slides are awesome, nice job timing them out. Agree you dialed in a killer j-tone too here
Thanks Jerry!
Thanks MB!
Thanks for the kind words Glenn! I love playing that bass, but no master, it all falls apart if I stop staring my left hand for more than half a second Guess I need to try that playing in the dark thing eventually…
Thanks John! Glad you liked it. Appreciate the mix feedback too. I think I should’ve rolled off the lows a little to get it to sit better.
Well I’d love to, guess I need to work up the courage to leave the bunker first My sister and I are practicing to do an open mic soon. She sings and plays guitar. We have 3 covers to try out.
Love it @JerryP
Rich bass tone, unhurried and sad. Everything you want in a blues song. Love the growl at the low end.
My original spec areodyne sounded a little anemic to me at the time. Envy how you can just pull that out.
Thanks a lot Al! The original has lots of neat slides in it. I took my queues from that, and just had fun with it.
Love the smooth walks and warm tone. Just perfect!
Excellent groove Al, Bonus points for slapping the fretless
Thank you Al! I put a little extra time in trying to get the right tone for this one.
