Great job fennario!

Well done, fennario! That is a cool song. Haven’t heard it in a while. I remember seeing them one summer at the riverport amphitheater as my parents moved to St. Louis while I was in college. I think they opened for the spin doctors, but I only really remember soul asylum.

Thanks @JerryP ! I think the bass was mixed a little low and also doesn’t come through in the mix all that well on shitty speakers. The bass is totally a supporting role in this song though - apart from the four note solo, LOL! - so it doesn’t need to be all that prominent. Still, it sounds better on some good speakers or headphones for sure!

Oh cool! I spent 13 or so years living in St. Louis. It’s where I met my wife, and where our three kiddos were born. We’ve seen many a show at Riverport! (Which will always be Riverport, no matter what the heck they are calling it these days.)

I thought the mix was just fine.

Katy Perry - Ghost

Lovely song. A very simple line, I focused on trying to get the mix right, so the bass was not overpowering, but just enough to drive the song along.

Apologies for the ‘groovin’’ at the start, while not even playing, I was feeling the beat

That was great @sunDOG ! Perfect mix IMHO! And also IMHO - never a need to apologize for getting your groove on! :man_dancing:

@JohnF Nice to hear Mark Knopfler on that, well played.

@sunDOG Nicely done Duncan. I was going to say it was a pleasant start to the week, then I realised it was Wednesday
In my defence, I had Monday & Tuesday off!

Got to play tonight for the first time in a week. Gah, I missed it. I was working on this one for a few days before the kiddos got here. Not much going on, just some compression on the front end and I mixed it more how I think it should fit rather than boosting the low end. Played it on my Valeton double P.

Well played, faydout! I’ve never heard that song before…I like it. Yeah, I’m going on vacation and not bringing my bass and am already thinking I am going to go through withdrawal syndrome.

Nice one, Duncan! Haven’t heard this song before either and enjoyed it!

After finishing the course a couple of days ago, I had to celebrate with some 80s metal. Or is it hard rock? It’s a fine line.
