Thank you John
Wow, what a view! Very cool, and you have an excuse for wearing shades
Great playing, I’ve not heard that song before
Thanks dude, now where did you get that formula Ed?? Lmao
BOOM! Another fine 80’s rocker
My dad was a huge Prine fan. Great job brother!
Thank you Sir!
Always!
Thanks, Andrea! John Prine has a lot of great folk-country songs that I love…many are just acoustic, but Lake Marie is one of my favorites that has a nice bass rhythm to it.
Thank you…sounds like your dad had good taste in music, bro!
Not familiar with the tune… but you did great playin it Great job!
There’s more to life than Bieber songs. You need to get out more….knucklehead
Wish someone would have sent me the memo …
Late to the game as always I see. Bahahaha
Mashup time. Mixing the most famous bass line that wasn’t played on a bass with an early 80’s classic. It doesn’t have to be complicated to be fun.
Pomplamoose ft. Sarah Dugas - Sweet Dreams + White Stripes Mashup
Off skiing to Japan shortly for a couple of weeks (hence the theme). Sadly I won’t get to see @howard as we are going to Hokkaido.
My dad was a huge Prine fan as well. You’d think that would be how I myself became a huge Prine fan, but I had to discover him all on my own.
Lake Marie is a top fave of my wife and myself. Great cover!
I was fortunate enough to meet John a couple of times. The first time was in a pool hall in Nashville where we were playing on adjacent tables. Struck up a conversation about Richard Marx, of all things, LOL.
I bet you were right there waiting huh? Haha
Thanks, bud. I appreciate it. Now you know I have to go back to a Neil Young & Crazy Horse song. Trying to pick which one to do next from my list.
Very cool that Lake Marie is a fave of your wife and yourself. Yeah, I love that song. That line “And thus the smaller lake that was hidden from the highway…became known forever as Lake Marie” hits me for some reason.
That is wild that you got to meet Prine IN A POOL HALL IN NASHVILLE! RIP…he wrote some great songs.
Awesome job, Barney, on the playing and on the video editing. That was a cool mash-up…seems like we’re getting a fun stream of 80’s music.
What do you use for your video editing software? I like how you’re splicing in other content…I look at my videos and I’m just standing there the whole time and I think your vids are a lot more dynamic with splicing in some other stuff. Plus I need to get comfortable not staring at my fretboard so much. Have fun skiing in Japan!
Ahh bummer man! Have fun, and grab some misoramen up there if you have a chance to go to ramen alley in Sapporo
Indeed! Now I know what I’ll be listening to the rest of the evening.
