I saw the link wasn’t working, and I was sorry I didn’t check it earlier. But I see it’s now back on YouTube.
Very nice playing!
Very nice! I always enjoy your covers.
Interesting fretboard! Was it easy to get used to it?
I’ve heard this happens often with Beatles covers. Maybe posting them on Vimeo might work, if there is any problem.
That was an uplifting song! Nice cover! ![]()
Great cover!
That was very cool. Slapping has a great sound.
So true. If I watch something weird, I immediately remove it from my YouTube history, so it won’t start recommending more similar videos.
I recently found out that YouTube has an option for whating videos on incognito mode, so they won’t stay in your history and won’t influence the algorithm. If you click the icon with your user pic at the lower right corner, then at the top of the screen below your name or channel name, you will see some links like Google account, and right after that there’s one called Turn on Incognito. Try it. You just have to remember to switch back afterwards.
Very well played!
Sometimes I read what I missed from the Post Your Covers thread backwards (newest messages first). This is one of those days. I can’t tell you how funny and weird is to read this comment before the original post you replied to, out of context. It makes what is already funny much funnier and weird! ![]()
I originally posted the video on a Monday and it wasn’t getting views. I decided to takE it down and repost it on A Friday. It ended up getting way more by doing that. Was the reason I did that. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate that.
Thank you so much. It is a really cool song
Ghost - The Future is a Foreign Land
Something a little different from Ghost, this track sounds like a 60s rock throwback.
This one has been on my “to do” list for a couple of months, but I only recently got to the point where I felt like I could nail it, or at least come close. It’s mostly those scale fills that were holding me back. My fingers were flying for them a little, but I got 'em.
And now that I’ve got it, there’s something I really love about playing this one. (Part of it is definitely the sound of that lower D-standard tuning.) It’s definitely going to enter my rotation of songs I play just for fun.
Great job, dude! First time I heard this song was when @fennario covered it a few months back. Definitely an interesting song with a cool bass line. I like that part around 2:15 and 3:26.
Thank you!
If it weren’t for those parts I would have recorded this a couple of months ago!
But they’re great little fills and I knew I had to get them right. They’re both just Lydian mode scales (major scale with a raised 4th) ending with a drop from the high 1st down to the 5th (I think I got that right anyway).
And yeah @fennario did an awesome job with it.
Nice job man! Way to persevere on those fills!
I started playing this on the P bass because the song is in D# tuning and I keep the P tuned that way. Then I learned that it was originally recorded on a P (though one way better than mine), so it was even more appropriate.
From 1996, track #10 on the Load album…
Well done, Vader! I like the ending of that song…very cool. The P bass tone sounded great!
Great cover! ![]()
That sounds great!

Excellent playing and great song! Love your tone here.
