Post your covers! (2025)

Yeah - I love me some QotSA.

I bet they have more bass lines of this type.

Apart from that: very well done - may I know which bass this is? I seem to be unable to spot that.

Awesome, man. I’ve always loved that record and Mendoza’s style.

Yeah, could be doable, even for a newbie like me (maybe). Like this song very much, it has exactly that feeling.

GREAT. Well done + I love Judas Priest. For me, they are clearly the best band of NWoBHM.

Well played, @Ed! I would have liked the bass a little higher in the mix though :metal: The bass looks cool! How well does it hang on a strap? I had a Hagstrom Viking for a while, but the neck dive drove me nuts. I sold it and bought my pink Ibanez EHB. Obviously, a completely different proposition, but I do like the look of these semi-hollows…

Well played, @dlamson13, this was a fun listen!

Blimey, Twisted Sister, haven’t heard them to a lifetime! Yell played, @Vader !! Anyway, now we established, we all going to burn in hell, what’s next?

Ha! Kind’a, almost disco octaves in a Queen of Stone Age song! Well played, @BassyBunch. Great tone too!

More head bangin’ goodness :metal: Well played, @JustinAndSheba

Well played, @AndreaJayne , glad to see you back in the saddle!!

Greetings BassBuzzers…

The first time I tried to learn this was March of 2024. I couldn’t get past the intro. I tried a couple of other times but didn’t get much further. Last month, I took the advice of that legendary sage Marty McFLy and was determined to do this. So here it is, I’m kinda proud of it and I hope you all like it.

Henry Mancini - The Pink Panther Theme

Signal Chain:
Reverand Dub King
EBS Valve Drive pre-amp
Zoom B1 Four (w/ Upright Bass Patch) into
Rumble 100 effects return input
Scarlett 2i2 DAI

Thanks for watching.

Hah I’ll keep an eye on the ‘non-bass covers’ thread :+1:

Thanks  It actually isn’t too bad - maybe because of the large body? It’s definitely better than my old Hofner violin bass! I would guess there would be no dive at all if I splashed out on proper bass strap

Great work @JustinAndSheba - definitely five out of five horns for metal perfection!

Pure gold @JerryP

Nailed the tone as well as usual.

Patience paid off on that one.

Love it!! Perfect bass tone too. I remember learning the beginning of the tune years ago but never took it any further. Very cool!
