Awesome job, I love this song. And The Peacemaker. Really hard to get a CD for this band though
Wow, that’s an unusual cover, but I guess it fits her style. Well played Duncan
Welcome, and thanks for sharing so soon! That sounded great.
Very nostalgic song that! A real school disco classic for me, top job Ed.
I don’t think I’ve heard any Willie Nelson before, but I have heard of him. Great cover John, I really like this tune.
Cool tune, well played Milt.
Start singing ![]()
Unless that doesn’t start either lol.
I didn’t know The Three Degrees were also from Wolverhampton ![]()
I think that if you are from The Black Country, it’s hard NOT to know someone who knows someone in a famous band!
I like the way this song builds up, pretty cool. Nice one
Thanks! I googled and now I understand the confusion: Wigwam (written without space) was a Finnish band founded in 1968, and Wig Wam (written with space) is a Norwegian band from 2001, and as you said this song is from the Norwegian band.
I didn’t know the Norwegian Wig Wam, and I haven’t watched Peacemaker. But I agree it is a great bass line! Awesome cover! ![]()
Depending on your sense of humour, you’ll either love it or hate it. Personally, I can’t wait to watch season 2! Not sure where it is shown though
Be careful what you wish for! ![]()
I have sang on a few, but blend it with the original to mask my terrible singing ![]()
Wow! I didn’t know you were moving to another country. Both places look absolutely wonderful. Beautiful pictures!
It sounds like a long journey, but fun!
Apparently we have this series in the Finnish HBO, and I added it to my list. I got curious about it now!
I watch horror, crime, true crime series, and I like comedy too.
Thanks @AndreaJayne !

Very nice cover!
but the notes played on the low E string seem to be too deep and almost resonate with my studio monitor from 2:42. I know there’s no such thing as too much bass, but that’s the way it is. There is no problem with the other strings. What could be the problem?
I couldn’t hear any problem. ?
ZZ TOP - I THANK YOU https://youtu.be/VrZkoEOPL2w?si=P_ARTaHNI98mqNk2 Since YT decided to do me wrong on my AC/DC cover Friday, I did this today. Who doesn’t need more ZZ Top in their life??!! Had some issues holding onto the pick towards the end. I had just come back from a nice walk and my hands started sweating some haha, but I was able to push through and keep it together. Enjoy ![]()
Very nice @TheMadBassist. I admire y’all that use a pick, in 46 yrs of playing I may have 2 mins of pick time lol.
Man, I’m a recovering guitarist so I feel out in left field without a pick haha
. Im almost all thumbs with fingerstyle. I can play, but it is a chore tbh. Appreciate you watching the video, thanks so much!
Thanks Andrea! Yup, LaBella Deep Talkin’ flats. They were all that bass was missing.
I didn’t know Dexy’s Midnight Runners. Nice song!
Thanks! You sould also check out There there my Dear, Jackie Wilson Said and Come on Eileen. In fact I was thinking of covering the last one…
A real school disco classic for me
hah same here ![]()
I still love the StingRays. Maybe one day I’ll have one too. Very sexy. ![]()
Nice cover btw!
Deftones - Sextape
Was looking for a reason to get the 5-string back in rotation and remembered this song employing that low B pretty tastefully.
I think Moises struggles with separation on tracks like this, because when I isolated and removed the bass, even bringing it back at 20%, the resulting backing track felt, for lack of a better word, neutered. So using my recent acquisition of a fistful of FabFilter plugins that include EQ, compression, reverb, saturation, multiband compression/expansion, limiter/mastering, and putting all of those to use in various capacities for this cover (including on the backing track) was fun and challenging. I think we just about nailed it though there’s some highs in the chorus that I feel like get squashed. Would love some feedback from you guys though.
Cool song from a band that’s been crushing the alt-metal genre for … what? Three decades or longer? Long live Deftones ![]()
Nice job! I believe this is the song that Mark wrote about Tom after Blink 182 broke up.
Pepper - Stormtrooper
Nice, Milt! That sounded great! That’s a cool groove.

Well done! I didn’t notice anything off with the low E.
ZZ TOP - I THANK YOU
Thank you for that octave extravaganza…well played! Sounded great! I guess it’s now back to @sunDOG to keep the ZZ Top train rollin’.
Deftones - Sextape
That sounded cool, BassyBunch…the chorus sounded a little muted but that was fun to listen to.
Thanks man! I’m glad you caught it as well and it wasn’t just my overly-critical self trying to find something to tweak. I’m sure I could’ve automated compression threshold down or added a dash of makeup gain in those sections but honestly I’m just happy to have another one in the books for now.
