Post your covers! (2025)

I watched this on YouTube earlier, It’s a nice chilled tune for a Sunday. I like how you are editing the videos too, great job.

@Buzzin_Canada-John As I said on YouTube, I listened to more of these ladies after hearing your cover, I’m impressed by how good they sound live. I didn’t notice any flubs, all sounded good to me.
@Ed Great tune choice, I had this on compilation album years ago.
Maybe it was just a UK hit then? Well played Ed

I recognised the song, but it didn’t click why it sounded different, so the acoustic part explains that. One of there better tunes IMO, well played

It could just be exposure too… ( or my lack thereof … :stuck_out_tongue: ) I have a bad tendency to stay in my comfort bubble too often :stuck_out_tongue:

awesome covers @Buzzin_Canada-John, haven’t heard of this band but I will definitely be checking them out. Thanks for sharing!
@JerryP loved it man, great job.

This one came on the radio last night as I was driving home and it sounded pretty easy. This is my first time using a pick for a cover because the song demands it. I have avoided picks for a long time so I’m pretty happy with how this turned out. Figured it was an easy place to start since 95% of the song is played on one string…Also, I think I’ll stay in Drop C for a while, probably about as low as the 4 string can handle but I love the growl at these super low frequencies

I don’t really like this band tbh but nevertheless…

Animal is a fun tune, I have done it here… funky low tuning for that one  Great job on it! :metal:  :metal:

Thanks! They are definitely worth a look! I have a couple more of theirs coming down the pipe at some point

Well played, Andrea! I like that song. Yeah, the mic picks up other sounds, but it turned out nice.

Nice job with the pick, Ant! I haven’t heard that song before, but your playing sounded really good!

For a first time, you nailed it!! And, doing it on one or two strings to start with is a perfect way to gradually learn…. Kudos AntMan!!

Some rough spots but we were having fun practicing in the studio. Here is a cover of Flagpole Sitta! I think the audio levels were a bit more balanced this time :joy:.

^^^ The most important part  This is the behind the scenes stuff people don’t see from their fave bands… the actual work

Digging that tone on your bass in the bridge! super bright …

Keep at it! and keep having fun!

Thank you! Believe it or not, I had my bridge pickup rolled off about 50 percent. Tone knob all the way up. Ran that through a compressor and the Sansamp DI with a bit of drive into a Rumble 500.

It just had that ‘new string’ tone ( to me anyways ) … nice and crisp

I just signed up for a one-year Moises account and tested it out on a jazz song with a serious double bass line. I then used Song Master Pro to create stems of the same song. I would say that the stems were of equal quality, but Song Master Pro has so many additional useful features for learning a song, that it’s still the best choice for me. It’s chord detection and chord track are more complete. Plus, Song Master Pro is a perpetual license, not an annual sub. And it doesn’t need internet access to work. I installed the desktop app for Moises, but I think it does its stem separation over the internet (correct me if I’m wrong).

Song Master and Song Master Pro (my recommendation)

Lots of fun! Your drummer is like so many I know: a spare snare and a six pack.

Did you test it against RipX too?
