Awesome Duncan!. The tone was just right.
Great Cover Duncan!! Remember hearing this song when my kids were growing up. Thought the tone worked solidly with the Acoustic version. Was there a reason you chose to cover the acoustic version with the Dingwall over the original version?? Just curious…
Thanks @JerryP!
I covered the original last summer, but using my fretless, so I didn’t want to just do the original one again.
We are playing this as a band, but are not yet tight enough, specifically our vocalist can’t remember the lyrics! Anyway, the songs were doing as a band, I need to keep on top of, and this acoustic version is different enough to keep me interested…
I was doomscrolling funny cat vids on YT when that went up… I left my kudos on the YT vid
Nice job on a classic! I always thought the bass line was a lot more hectic for this tune… LOL apparently I have to get my ears checked! LOL
Great job Jerry
Nice bit of Santana there, well played
You managed that Forest so well you could probably claim a grant for it!
Thank you John! The challenge with this was it didn’t have a set pattern. Slight changes every few bars that I had to have the eight pages of tab in front of me while playing.
Thanks much Andrea!
Buenisimo, Jerry! Great song and great cover! I like the parts around 2:10 and 3:25 leading into the organ solo and then the guitar solo.
Great job, Travis! As I wrote on your YT channel comments, this song brought back memories from 25+ (30?) years ago. Tiiiiime flies…
Smooth as always, Duncan. Nice cover! I’ll have to look into the cover of the original you did to compare.
Cat videos ROCK, @Buzzin_Canada-John! Certainly better that doomscrolling the news at present…
Much appreciated, @JohnF!!
Nice work @JerryP - bringing the Latin passion to Bassbuzz!
Thank you John! Yeah, those two parts were really fun to play.
Thanks Ed! A little something different for the mix.
This tune popped into my noggin the other day… figured I’d take a swing at it.
Sugarloaf - Green-Eyed Lady (1970) bass cover
Very cool. One of my favorite Cure tunes.
Thanks my man! I enjoyed doing that one a lot. Always loved Hootie, they have a great catalog of songs! Appreciate the attaboys dude
Knocked it out the park bruh
