I hear you…the songs have a similar melancholy vibe to them. I just gave a fresh listen to Tuesday’s Gone and there are some really nice bass parts to that song…maybe in a couple years after advancing, I’ll try to tackle that one. Thanks for listening to this cover, John!

Traded in my Jazz bass for another 5 string so I could drop my Dingwall low and play more chill music on a 5 string without going back and forth on tunings so much. I really don’t think I can go more laid back and chill than this lol.
But you know that means there’s gonna be an overcorrection soon after

I can’t believe this is my first Placebo cover. I got to play around with my pedals a little more now that I’ve got a proper pedalboard on the floor and all. I’m running the amp, cab sim, and EQ from my GX-10 with my RV-3 and new Keeley Parallax reverbs. I kicked on the RV-3 going in to the outro and added in the feedback at the end by using the delay side of the Parallax (the reverb side was set on soft focus for the whole song). Then all of it was run through my SGT and BDDI to my mixer. The SGT carried the wet side and the BDDI was clean. Youtube killed the sound quality on this one. Mixing it, the reverb sounded so much better and it still had a crispness to the sound.
