Post your covers! (2025)

Thanks John!! I got my first bass in 1987 when I was 16.

Common People - Pulp
Pulp have a new single out! Spike Island is such a good song, and just sounds like the best of classic Pulp.
I’m not a huge fan by any standard, but Common People is a standout tune of the 90’s, and I like some of their other tunes too.

This is becoming a regular thing now - and you’ve even got the ZZtop shuffle! Now you just need to get the spinning guitar mount …

Top job @TheMadBassist !

So here’s the real reason why I wanted a Dingwall. I finally made it to my Djent Era. Been a big fan of Misha Mansoor and Periphery since 2011. I was watching this show called Arcane and I lost my mind when I heard this because I know a Misha riff anywhere. I’m not ready to learn the hard songs yet but I’m slowly getting there! Getting my feet wet by learning the “basics” lol

Same! I just burned it through my speakers - an overwhelmingly great cover!

Great job, Andrea! never heard this song before, but it is a fun one.

That rocked, Travis! You were feelin’ that one!

Good thing you’re playing with headphones…with an amp, you’d be shaking the foundation of that house! Really well played…sick tone.

Duran Duran - Save a Prayer

I looove Duran Duran basslines (paging @sunDOG :joy:). I’m quite far away from being able to play most of their other tunes, but this one’s a start.

I saw I’m doing the finger bunching thing that Josh mentioned in a recent beginner mistakes video - damn! I’ll have to work on that.

Few duff notes in there (muscle memory from originally learning an incorrect tab kicking in ) but hey ho! One day I’ll be able to play Rio.

@TheMadBassist Keep it up, you’re getting no complaints here
@BumbleJazz I don’t know the tune (theme?) but who doesn’t love a bass going as low as it can, great job!
@saroohoo Wow, well done! I love a lot of Duran Duran tunes , but have yet to try and play one. Great job, and that bass sounds awesome
Your fretting hand posture actually looks very good, I’ve a nasty habit of my wrist bending backwards, and it is so hard to train myself out of it.

Oh great job @saroohoo - I was wondering how long it would be before @sunDOG would cover this on the dingwall but you beat him to it .

I thought this would be a fretless track but it works well with the slides.

Anyway excellent work.- you must be a serious Duran Duran fan to stick with this :+1::+1:
