Really good! Nice cut through in the mix. Well played, sir.
Head bangin’ music. I’m walking around banging my head on everything in sight!!!
Those look like G&L’s MFD pickups. My Fullerton Deluxe Fallout has one. It’s massive, especially in the OMG mode. Great pup.
How Do I Say Goodbye. by Dean Lewis
In July 2025, we unexpectedly lost our mum. This song was played at her memorial. This is my tribute to mum. It was very emotional playing it. its not perfect but I was feeling very emotional.
I’ve been invited back to do another open mic!
This time one of the songs is Dear Prudence. Here’s my quick cover recording. Not the best quality, and I may redo it on my electric. For now, here’s the Martin.
My rendition of Dear Prudence. I hope you enjoy.
(I have to figure out why the Martin buzzes in the high notes during recordings.)
Well this is BassBuzz.
Nice cover! I have the Martin Dreadnought Jr and I pluck just right of the sound hole - that eliminates the minor buzzing for me.
How do you like yours?
Good one! ![]()
I love it. The short scale is really easy to play. It sits beside my work desk. It gets lots of love.
The buzzing only shows up in the recording. Must be very sensitive.
You must be really tall…
Yes indeed… MFDs. Super hot pickups for sure.
Queens of the Stone Age - My God is the Sun
Recorded this one at the same time as my last cover but I didn’t want to post so soon.
This was so much fun to play. Too much fun really. I had to restrain myself because I was making too many mistakes because of rocking out.
Watching it back now there are a couple of sloppy moments.
Awesome cover!
I see what you meant in the other message (at the pick thread). Your hand looks super relaxed when strumming. I think so far I have been unable to do that.
So I took some time and listened to some tracks with headphones. That was when I realized I’m absolute *ss at this. asking anyone to listen to that is worse than reading the text of a Donald Trump speech and expecting them to make sense of it.
I’ve cleaned out the videos on the channel and cleared them from here. Sorry, folks. Won’t happen again.
It’s just practice. Another something to try, consider picking up a cheap 6 string guitar and learn / get comfortable strumming and changing your major chords. These basic bass chords get to be pretty easy compared barre chords or going from an A to full G.
Oh man. No worries! You had so much fun playing that nobody will probably notice but you. It was fun to watch. ![]()
Great cover!!
Well played, @faydout!
Well played, @DirkTungsten. You should have gone with the eyeliner…!
Not heard this before. Well played, @CrayWolf
Well played, but yep, need to work on the recording technique ![]()

Very well played, @BassFusion!!
Well played, @faydout. Cool song!!
It’s a cool song though!! Well played, @BillBass!
Heavy, maaan!!
Well palyed, @JustinAndSheba
Well played, @Mktony32. When my dad died, he wanted Spirit in the Sky. I eventually did a cover of that one…
Well played, @groaner! I must admit, I actually prefer the Siouxsie and the Banshees cover of this song.
@THRILLHO, well played! Great song!!
Did I post in the wrong one? I must have. All the videos are gone. I listened to myself for the first time with headphones. I realized how absurd and bloody well awful i sound.
I’ve pulled everything, there won’t be anymore.
Sorry about that, guys. Won’t happen again.
I do too!
This is the version the other guy want’s to play
I believe I can honestly say that hearing myself play isolated was one of the most humiliating experiences I’ve ever had the horror of living through. I won’t do it again.
I’ve realized that 5 years has passed and most of it has been a big darn waste of my time.
Everybody here is freaky cool, y’all are all right. I got nothing bad to say.
