That looks really cool, even as just a small form DI box. What I’m chewing on atm is running amp / cab using the NAM profile plug in for Logic. Then either going straight plug ins or trying to find an IR loader for Logic Pro (on an iPad), running it all through midi to a foot switch to control effects. It’s all still in the brainstorming phase. I’m not ready to start buying stuff to do that yet.

I’ve never seen anything like this. nobody has. like the guys say, this is literally the same price as a tc electronic tuner. I can see no reason why ANY bass player would not get one of these, unless you’re some plugin only weirdo

I don’t know that I’d use it for effects but it’d still be worth the slot on my board just for the Nueral amp / cab models.

for sure. and the tuner. and drum machine. and it’s a usb interface. and a NAM interface, multi effects… i mean, cmon now, for 80 bux??? it’s crazy.
I’ve already got 2 tuners on my board and I’d be putting this right towards the end of my chain. Yeah, just the drum machine and the NAM interface alone I’d pay double for this thing and still feel like I wasn’t getting ripped off. I’ve already got a whole folder of NAM profiles just sitting on my Macbook.

aaannnddd ordered. well pre-ordered anyways, because as expected they are sold out everywhere. the funny thing is shipping was $15 and for a second i was like, what no free shipping? and then i laughed at myself.

I think I’ve pushed my spouse far enough for the time being. I’m gonna have to lay low and order one next payday as part of my normal music allowance stuff.
Edit: I’ve been looking to pick up a beat buddy to work on timing, I really wonder how the drum machine in this thing compares. Even if it sucks the NAM profiler in a physical box for $80 is still nuts.

I finally bought one. Glad I waited. The 10th Anniversary version is a work of art. I used an existing 1/8" stereo to dual 1/4" mono Y cable and routed the headphone out from the BB to my audio interface’s Line 5 & 6 inputs. It’s not really a pedal for a pedal board, although you can wire that way if you want. I operate it by hand.

The NAM profiler might be the most interesting bit imo. If you haven’t played around with those yet, highly suggest it. They’re like amp sims on steroids. Right now, I’m running an SVT4 Pro on one signal chain and a GK 800 RB on the other through GarageBand as plug ins. They sound fantastic. Especially that SVT .nam.

you didn’t have to be a genius to see this coming, as evidenced by me calling it here about a year ago. the platform was getting real dated compared to all the young guns out there. this is impressive looking.
