it is a fun thing to play…that was about fourth time I had played over it, I have added extra yam since then ![]()
love it!
It gets better, but still far away from posting a cover, maybe next year. ![]()
@Whying_Dutchman and @Al1885
your tone was absolutely destroyed by the phone mic, but the timing and playing seemed ![]()
you should for sure post a full cover asap
Eddie Van Bassen ![]()
What kind of bass is that? it’s hella hot! and great jam ![]()
Reverend Raymond. I love it. It’s even lighter than my Ibanez.
They only made the Raymond for a couple years. Which is kind of a shame.
If you find one, I highly recommend it. Not only is it gorgeous but I can get a crazy amount of tones with very simple controls.
thanks, it is my new stonefield f bass

Yer gonna kill it! ![]()
Listened to Journey to the end of the East Bay by Rancid on the way home from practice. Thought I’d give it a shot when I got home. This is after 4-5 plays. Shocked at how close I got on my first try! Hope to make a cover soon. What a great Jam.
Man I am absolutely digging the fretless bass! Started working on this one which isn’t my usual genre, but it is pretty damn catchy. AND SO FUN! Here’s the first verse.
Britney Spears - Toxic
EDIT: Dammit! My pinky is doing it’s thing again. sigh
OK, with a bit more practice I think I might be able to pull this all together soon.
That’s awesome, and that shirt rules.
Great job that bassline is so underrated
Look on the bright side, it’s not your middle finger, ![]()
Man that slide sounds so good. Lots of Mawh on that fingerboard.
I mean, if the shirt fits, wear it right? ![]()
And totally agree @MattyD , I really dig this line even though it’s not something that would immediately come to mind. That’s something I noticed when I first started playing bass (and I might have even mentioned it in my introductory post here) that I started appreciating the musicality of genres that weren’t necessarily my daily drivers.
Wait! When did you get that bass? What string do you put on that one? Some times it’s hard to keep up with people’s GAS even your buddies, ![]()
Sounds like a Pyramid gold flat. Really cool and warm. That’s a really cool right hand technique man, very nice punchy tone.
I’m a sucker for Brittany. Even some of the boy band songs from that era that are produced well, if it slaps it slaps.
