New Bass is here
It is a Stonefield F series (lefty) bass…Stonefield is the company of a bass luthier in New Zealand (Tomm Stanley) and the F Bass is the entry level ‘production model’ (i.e. parts of the process outsourced rather than full handmade by him)
The most interesting parts are probably the (thumbwheel-adjustable) floating wooden bridge and the 3 degree neck tilt for ergonomics and comfort (also responsible for the huge space under the strings at the body)
Also has other quirky touches which make it seem a little different like the position of the top strap button, the jack plate, and the makers name appearing on the body not the headstock
Took me a few hours(!) to get the setup under control after I got the bass but really liking it so far
