Nice popup @Barney ! Here’s the nose of my truck and my teeny little camper. My other ride, the paramotor, is in there too for good measure. We’ll camp out at the airport here and fly all weekend. Good fun!
Ive got a red one and LOVE it
We mere mortals own a car, Howard owns a bleedin’ train!
My trustworthy Japanese.
But might end up being replaced by a Swede.
Car is amazing, but I’m in need of something bigger for the family travels.
Oh totally agree @John_E, although to be fair electric cars are less polluting in town - both with regard to emissions and noise. Having said that, you apparently only get the noise benefit under 35kmh (15 freedom kmh ) because of tyre noise…
M’good lady and I have given the car to my inlaws and we get around on bike and public transport, or taxi in emergency. The power of homeworking
I won’t be going full electric until we solve the batteries issues.
A standardization is needed so they can be easily replaced… when refueling or periodic maintenance.
Hydrogen might be the solution eventually. Batteries are too polluting still and have a low shelf life.
Damn, had to show off the just expensive ride by far.
We’re all peasants when @howard is involved!
I drove one of the parent’s cyber truck a few blocks. That’s one impressive driving machine. The steer by wire takes some getting used to and it’s too freaking nimble for such a big and wide-ish truck. The 4 wheel steering is super impressive and intuitive.
That said, I’m too claustrophobic to drive around with a vehicle that wide. It’d be like Sean Connery in the Rock hitting thing on his path.
Current rides:
'74 Triumph Trident (for sale)
Wanting to get back into a bigger one, had a '93 Full Dress but really like the newer (pre '23) Road Glides:
This is my previous ride, a 65 Galaxie 500. It was about as solid as you could get. When I bought it, it had a wore out 352 big block. I swapped a 390 mildly touched up while I built a 428 Cobra Jet Block with a 465 stroker kit. When I moved back to Florida, like a dummy, I sold it. The only car that ever sold that I deeply regret doing so.
A little motor video from about 2008
Nice ride Tommydogg for sure!
I’ve driven loads of vans for work, but never owned one until last April. Really good posture for my back, so much more comfortable than my little Honda HRV.
It’s a crew cab, so space in the back is limited, but I can still sleep in it after a slight modification…and a paint job, and carpet
Frankly I am disappointed at the lack of V8’s posted here, so thanks for sharing that beauty!
I want a Chevy Nova, or ideally a 69 Charger. I’ll need to save up a bit though:)
Oh wow that’s gorgeous
