Mine is only 15.
For MEE3294… yep old trucks = best trucks '87 F150 70,000 actual miles
For AndreaJayne want of V8’s… truck now has a '69 Mustang Boss 302 tweaked to 450hp Why? Cause I only have two bass guitars, one amp and no pedals.
Ha. If I sold all of my basses for what I paid for them, I could by a Mercedes. Instead, I bought a new Renault Clio RS Line with a 1.3L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine co-developed with Mercedes. Almost all of the smaller cars here have 3-cylinder engines. Makes sense when gas costs $7-$8/gallon. But they vibrate like crazy and sound awful. My little 4-cylinder engine paired with a super-smooth 6-speed manual tranny is like a rocket. The photo is a 2019, but looks identical to my 2022. My Clio is silver gray, but has the same great styling, including the very clever rear door handle design. It’s got a surprising amount of space on the inside when the back seat is folded down. The RS Line is produced in France. All of the other models are produced in Turkey. The RS Line is the only gas model with the shark fin instead of an antenna, and it has rear disk brakes instead of drum.
I love it! There doesn’t need to be a ‘why’ when it comes to engine swaps and BHP
That’s sharp! Two-tone paint job = proper.
I learned to drive on my dad’s 1962 F-100, the kind with a three-on-the-tree and the manual choke. I like the earlier F-series rigs a lot.
My Sierra Classic is an '85, and it just turned 100,000 three days ago. It’s also had an engine swap; the 305 it shipped with has been replaced by a 350. The interior had to get worked on–too many Arizona summers beat it up–but otherwise she’s pretty close to stock.
Very nice, that’s the only kind of pony I’d want
For those who want to see V8s! This is a Ford 460 out of a 74 full sized Mercury. I built this motor using a 521 stroker kit. It has Kaasie P51 heads. I built it to drop in a 93 Mustang coupe. Lately I’ve been rethinking that plan. I would like to find a mid 70s Ford station wagon to build! Call me a freak but…
I was born on the wrong side of the Atlantic. That looks great, bet it sounds it too.
Roadkill, Roadkill Garage, Engine Masters have been the place to go for my fix of retro muscle and engine swaps. It’s a shame Motor Trend is gone now. Thankfully, my son has them all downloaded. David Frieburger is doing his own thing on YouTube now, so the fun should continue in one form or another
My Suzuki Wagon R…it aint fast, it ain’t loud, but when the sun goes down it’s a lot of fun
My ride today is a Rossignol Soul 7 paired with the good old reliable Dynafit TLT tech binding.
Tokachidake yesterday was lovely in the sunshine.
Wow that looks gorgeous up there.
That looks awesome @Barney!
What size tire did you manage to squeeze in there @terb? 28c?
25c, which is very small, as it is the extreme maximum with this frame. it’s not really a gravel bike, more an endurance road bike with some gravel-esque mods : MTB cassette and rear derailleur, Schwalbe Marathon tires, MTB SPD pedals.
That would make for a tough day in the mud for sure. Glad you got out for a good ride!
What’s that do - change the gearing?
yes
That seems an odd place for a stop sign…
