I have two other bass guitars. And my finger span is not that wide. For a tall person it’s quite narrow. I’ve been playing long enough to know that it’s not gonna get wider and it’s not gonna get easier. I purchased a short scale bass guitar. This guitar is like night and day easier. FYI it will be my go to bass. Glenn
There’s definitely a need for short scales, whether for playability or tone. Best of luck with yours.
Short scale is fine. Just as good as long scale, but different
as required by law i will now plug the short scale thread
TY. As Yogi Berra says… Both the same in different ways.
i have purchased a short scale 30 inch Slammer Hamer , i like the way if feels on my hands and shoulders. what did you purchase I have found the short scale market to be limited
I have both, a long scale Aria and a short scale Squier, both are P Bass and I really prefer and enjoy my Short Scale more. So easy to play, feel like an electric Guitar
