I hated the old interface, now that they have a pretty good tab notation I might give it a try again. I was hoping the Rocksmith Workshop would be useful as yousician doesn’t offer anything like that.

I don’t need to subscribe to a game to improvise my own bass lines over a backing track, I can do that pretty easily without rocksmith

Well, that depends where you stand in your bass journey.
For me it helps a lot to get a cue on when the chord changes. Especially on songs with many chords or not so easy structure.
