SAG - Selling Aquired Gear

Not impossible, though.

Although this guy would likely get a lot more volume if he were plugged into an amp.

Back in my day, we had to wait years just to have two nickels we could clack together and that’s how we made music.

After buying the bass I’m waiting on, I don’t have two nickels left to clack together.

That’s why I want it now. Dammit.

Yeah this is me too. It’s the key to doing well on the used market, as well. Patience pays off. I’ve turned a profit on multiple basses, including my TRBX604 (which was my main bass for three years!). Just need patience for the right deals.

I just got a text that my EBMM Cutlass landed in LA from New Zealand tonight.

Mileage varies, but, for me, waiting sucks. But tracking updates rock. :metal:

Unfortunately, my bass is in a black hole. There’s been no tracking update since late Friday night. From the little info online, the bass is probably held in Customs in LA.

The consensus is that Customs is a shitshow: understaffed in the aftermath of Covid and buried under mountains of international packages and mail.

The seller shipped the bass using NZPost, and the corresponding shipper over here is USPS. Yeah, that USPS.

Crap.

Yea can’t expect much from anything local, state, or federally run.

I hate dealing with USPS. Guaranteed headache and unpleasant experience every time, at least at my local Post Office.

Hope you get it soon!

Thanks!

Don’t lose hope. I’ve noticed USPS have been lax at updating progress lately. No update, no update, to delivered

Thanks, man. I’ve got nothing but hope right now. I know it’s over-insured, but that’s hollow consolation.

According to their site, the typical time it takes for Customs to release a package seems to be 24-72 hours. We’ll see. :crossed_fingers:

This is accurate. I got something over a week ago from USPS. It’s been framed and up in my music room for over a week but if I look at tracking it’s still in transit somewhere.

I don’t know, the military seems to function pretty well

Where you in it? Cause it was a cluster fook when I was in.
When I ETS’ed they put the wrong year on the paperwork and they told me I owed them a year’s worth of salary. Took me a year and a half to get it straighten out.

I feel you bratha! I wish I can just pick it up for you and send it on your way.

Yes I was. And sure, it’s a complete clusterfuck, but it’s a clusterfuck that gets things done.

The amount of bullshit that goes down to make sure stuff happens on time is pretty incredible.
