SAG - Selling Aquired Gear

If you get an inventory of pedals to put out on loan, I could add one or two.
I am guessing if they get somewhere and the person wants it, they can make arrangements with the owner to purchase it? or they can just list it as up for grabs, to the next person on the list, who gets to try it out, and either pay the owner, or pass it along after 2 weeks or whatever a standard library time is?
Just let me know if it happens.
I have a
EHX Bass Preacher (compression pedal)
Zoom MS-60B (Zoom multi fx in a pedal)
that I could add, maybe others.

The only flaw I see here is is somebody joins, gets a pedal and bounces.
I guess they needed it more then the owner, but there is not really a way to vet members unless you go by post count, or time in forum, etc…
Sounds like a great idea, and I would be happy to contribute pedals, I just don’t want any part of setting it up.

I think we pretty much have to go with the honor system and the mindset that once you’ve shipped the item it’s out of your hands. If someone turns out to be a reprobate (unlikely), I’m certain they would not be receiving any additional freebees from anyone else.

Well, I think part of the idea was that you’re willing to let go of the pedal for shipping costs… A ā€œpedal libraryā€ is kind of an expansion of that concept, and would come with additional risks for the lender…

Ok, bass-ed on your and @skydvr’s answers, I am understanding it to be a pool of pedals that are bass-ically donated for free to the pedal pool, and are no longer the donator’s pedal. So, it is NOT a ā€œTry It for shipping cost, Buy it if you want to keep itā€ type system, Bsss-ically Amazon, where you don’t pay up front.
It seems that it might attract more Donator’s if there is a chance to sell the pedal, but its fine that way too.
I would still probably add the Bass Preacher, but hold back on the Zoom pedal in that case.

Pedal received in great condition…

Here it is on the board from this weekend…

We had great fun running both my bass and my son’s guitar through it. He has heard me talk about preamps but after getting to play with these he admitted he didn’t really understand what I was talking about or what the big deal was. Now he gets it. It was pretty cool seeing the light turn on. Usually he’s the one helping me. It was nice to be able to turn that around and show him something he thought was really cool.

I thought it was great. Very different than the Tone Hammer but still an interesting pedal. My son turned the harmonics and drive knobs all the way up and was using the Tone Hammer with everything set at noon and going back and forth between them building loops. Layers on top of layers.

I do intend to pass it on. I think @PamPurrs asked about it first. Pam, let me know if you’re interested or not.

Wine Cellar is a great preamp @eric.kiser and you will enjoy it. I actually had purchased one and loved it, but returned it to Amazon when I purchased the Tech 21 VTBass DI.

Thanks for keeping me in mind, but go ahead and scratch me off the list.

I’m not expecting to ever get it back or get paid more than it cost me to ship it out. It gets loaned forward to the next person interested.

Pam, did you have that Ibanez bass or still do?
Did you like it?
It is used in my local guitar center right now.

I had it, but returned it to Sweetwater for a refund. It’s a lovely bass, but I found the huge body to be a hindrance to my ability to play it. Plus, the feedback from a hollow body is incredibly annoying.
Go to GC and try it out to see how it feels, you may love it.

I did read that the Ibanez design had sigificant issues with feedback from the hollowbody, esp the bridge pickup.

Even when I took a break and parked it on the stand ten feet away from the amp it would slowly start the screeching, quietly at first, but rapidly gaining volume. I would have to rush over and mute the volume to get it to stop.
But I guess I could have learned to live with the feedback. The main thing is it’s just too big for me.

My sights are set on a Gretsch hollow body.
But when I saw this and the price of the used I was curious. Guess there is a reason for the price

I would expect the Gretsch (and all other full body hollow bodies or AEB’s) to have the same feedback issues. I don’t think the Ibanez was special here.

Now that a month has passed since I rescued my Zoom B3n and haven’t even touched my pedalboard or peddles, it’s time to sell them off.

I will be listing the following peddles in my Reverb store, but would like to give anyone here who’s interested first crack at them. I will make a deal with you if we can cut out the middleman (Reverb).

  • Donner Ultimate Comp (Compressor)
  • Electro-Harmonix Micro Pog (Octaver)
  • Ibanez TS9b Tube Screamer for Bass
  • Electro-Harmonix Bass Clone (Chorus)
  • Flamma FS02 Reverb

I’m also going to be selling my pimped out Temple Audio peddle board (including travel case). It’s got loads of mods that I added to it, plus lots of quick release pedal plates. I haven’t priced it out yet, but if you’re interested, I’ll make a good deal. PM me for details.

Hi Pam, depending on shipping, I’d be interested in the Donner Ultimate Comp pedal.

Please PM me with a price you have in mind.

$20 plus shipping. It’s coming from Phoenix, AZ USA so shipping might be hefty.
