Curved sopranos are fairly rare and therefore $$$.
And all sopranos are very DIFFICULT to play.
Intonation is a beeatch.

I use one of the same repair techs as Dave Koz does.
The guy is a magical genius.
He and Dave have spent years tinkering with sax setups to find what works and what doesn’t regarding intonation, tone color, feel, etc.
Good news is mopes like me get the benefit of their work!
He has such control even at the upper register where many would crack.

The band I’ll see live this Sunday 
Going to see a very long time friend’s band tomorrow night.
About 30 years ago the lead singer (Megan) was dating my best friend.
One day, she basically said “I am leaving you, and Rochester and going to NYC to be a bartender and sing in a band” (edited for conciseness and profanities).
She’s done exactly that ever since. She doesn’t care that she’s not famous or rich (well, to an extent).
How cool is that? Doing exactly what you want with your life for decades…
