I think the whole thing about it actually being Friday somewhere in the world went out the window some time ago. But the justifications for continuing to post good music keep getting better (it’s Anti-Friday, “close enough”, comments came in later, “still the weekend”, etc.)

I bought Eliminator when it came out as a teen and loved it, but then got deep into other genres and haven’t really revisited since. So I am loving all the recent discussion.

This is hardly bass-relevant. But we play the bass to make music, right? Well, this, ladies and gentlemen, is music.
It is not jazz… it’s minimalist, orchestral, melancholic, poetic. mesmerising…
In my defence, there is an upright bass in there somewhere.
