Let’s crank up the testosterone level a bit here.
Musically interesting, but the vocals make me want to lose my lunch.
Well, I have seen them live at a festival and the singer probably had partied too much the day before their gig
Time Will Die & Love Will Bury It (by Rolo Tomassi) was one of my absolute favorites / most listened to records of 2018.
The experience start to finish of the record is incredible. Gives a nice picture/balance of the vocal range and scope of the singer and the style of the band.
This track shows up at 5/10 on the record, and adds super intense/angry vibes. Overall, the album is melodically rich and transcendent in its arc and trajectory.
Their style is indeed quite varied with a lot of jazz elements in it. I was going through YT looking for something to post and went from Orange Goblin to Conjurer ending at Rolo Tomassi.
The choice of the song is however somewhat random, I just wanted it to have enough intensity in it
Hi @howard,
Very interesting piece, the drumming was awesome.
The video clip was different.
The mellow and the rage worked really nice.
Cheers Brian
sooooooooo good. Thanks for this.
I have a buddy who followed them on a few tours to do video and photo documenting for the band, but this is my first time seeing them in action, and not just his black and white stills.
He was with Oathbreaker as well on their final tour some years ago - maybe worth checking out his stuff since they’re both getting some love today (looking at you, @howard!

Oh cool! Thanks for that, some really interesting photos in there. I love the way shooting Japan in B&W exposed that way makes it look so bleak in places that are ordinarily brightly lit.
Oathbreaker is part of Amenra’s collective, members rotate on stage with them apparently. interesting group.
Thanks for sharing those links, fantastic photographs
So far I have found that if a band is on Deathwish there’s a solid chance I will like them
I’m not really in to blackmetal, but I’m really liking bands like Oathbreaker and Deafheaven. And more recently Gouge Away like mentioned in the other thread. Deathwish has been good to me.
Interesting photos @terb,
Wouldn’t want to show them to my grandson,
He would probably have nightmares.
Cheers Brian
