I love this so much. Was Jeff Schroeder with them for guitars or was it mainly the guy from Monaco?
I think it was Jeff Schroeder. He looked a bit like Bernard when he was younger.
That’s awesome, he’s really good. Also, Revstar
K, had some sleep, here are some of my favorite pics from last night. I also got video of Ceremony, Transmission, Atmosphere and at least 1 other song I can throw up on YT if you’d like @howard
This is awesome and just drives home how I need to trade up to a BBPH someday. Would love to see the vids.
The guitarist (way over on the right) is (I think) David Potts from Monaco. Could be wrong though. It’s not Schroeder, but no big deal.
I’m guessing the Pumpkins are in town too? I think they are touring now, Jack must be doing double duty.
Here you go. I also got the Hooky shirt instead of the tour shirt with all the dates, I’ve already got the signed poster for that.
- This is amazing, thank you!
- Who is the other bass player? That doesn’t look like Jack Bates
Guessing Jack was needed at the Pumpkins? Or was he there too?
Yeah, I had to go look. I have no clue who he is. He’s awfully nice though, even when I kept calling him Jack. Maybe I got lucky and his name is also Jack? He rocked either way. Is it sad that I was critiquing their technique (Peter cups the neck and the guy wraps his whole hand around it)? Also, their straps are both so low that they have to crouch to play a lot. Looks uncomfortable.
Hooky has his own style and is totally open about it, basically “There’s a lot of basslines I can’t play! But it’s ok, they can’t play mine either.”
I just tried the not Jack Bates’ style of playing Transmission (left thumb wrapped around on the E string) and it was easier for me to play those open A’s cleanly. My hand had to move less over all, so I was already in place to play the next 2 bars. I just had to be more intentional about getting myself down to the D string for those bits. I might just get this song down well enough to record. Those open A’s were what was holding me back.
Chase the Comet opened and really got things going
Crobot was up next and took things up a notch
CKY finished it off with all the hits on this 25yr anniversary tour
Got to meet them before the show
Brought a pickguard for them to sign
Will go to a concert of the Danish Radio Bigband in about two weeks. They are celebrating their 60th anniversary with a number of guest musicians, among others vocal sensation Michael Mayo all the way from LA (paging @booker_t)!

Well, saw Alice Cooper last night and let me tell you, it’s a joy to see someone his age just being ferocious and having a great time on stage. All the musicians were all smiles and the whole vibe was just amazing. I don’t really take photos at concerts but I snapped a few because of my wife. This was her first real Alice Cooper show and there was a tear or two.
