I loved seeing them! They put on a great show and Nick was super high energy live.
June is currently looking like a great live music month here. I’m thinking I might see Steven Wilson, not that I’m a huge fan but if Nick Beggs will be his touring bassist, I’d love to see him
Also Amyl and the Sniffers, I’m excited to see them
I cannot convince anyone to go with me, so I’m probably flying solo to see Spiritbox in Pittsburgh. I’m not super enthusiastic about going to a show alone, but I’d hate to miss them on a headliner tour.
Finally plug the trigger and purchased ticket to see The String Cheese Incident this August up in Vail Colorado
Beyond Stoked ,
Cheers
Not next, but purchased tickets today for Amon Amarth and Pantera this summer in Florida!
Most likely next: Milwaukee Metal Fest (one day only) in May. In Milwaukee, of course.
Babymetal with Jinjer and Bloodywood. Quite the international ticket - Japan, Ukraine, and India
This will be an arena tour, and the girls put on quite the show in an arena. Who’s the better singer, Su or Tati?
today was an expensive day. got tix to see the warning in chicago and st. louis. also got a hotel in st. louis for the weekend. oh, and bought tix to the play hadestown in chicago to keep my wife from killing me for all of the above. will be my first time seeing my fav band, excited
I can’t speak to the band because I hadn’t heard of them until now, but Hadestown was great!
Should be so good. I checked their tour and nothing on the West Coast. Maybe next year - have a blast!
I’ll just have to settle for seeing my favorite band in July. Oh darn.

Tonight, going to ACL Moody Theater — home of the world-famous Austin City Limits showplace — to see Trombone Shorty and his New Orleans jazz cats tear the place down.
Fans of the series Treme will remember that he plays himself. He also plays all the actual trombone lines for the main character trombonist, Antoine.
Gonna be a good time.
saw him last year, he’s quite the showman
I’d like to see this show, but they come to Tampa FL the day after we get back from seeing Iron Maiden in Denmark and Sweden. We are 3 hours from Tampa. I occasionally do go to Tampa for shows.
The Trombone Shorty stage show tonight was easily one of the very best I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen lots.
The musicianship was superb, as expected, but the showmanship was the band’s crowning jewel. These guys and gal were as polished an act as Prince ever performed, no exaggeration.
Each number was obviously meticulously planned and rehearsed as it meshed seamlessly into the next. There was no break, no pause in the over-two-hour show. It was 21st-century New Orleans virtuosity on proud display.
Every member of the 8-piece band got a chance not only to solo but to actually command the stage. The Austin crowd ate it up gladly, and rewarded the musicians with our legendary appreciation and gratitude. The whole night was glorious.
This is the first I’ve heard of Trombone Shorty. I found this 2+ hour live show on YouTube. Gonna watch it on my 65" OLED set.
Most definitely do watch the show!
Playing for a hometown N’Awlins crowd? Damn! I have zero doubt the Trombone Shorty band’s performance is pure fire!
Note: The lineup of the band’s musicians has changed over the years. The video above was shot 12 years ago, so some players in it weren’t the exact ones in last night’s show. That said, each one is a stone cold killer in his/her own right.
