I was super bummed that I missed the Bela Fleck & the Flecktones when they came through earlier this year. So I was doubly excited to learn they would be here in December on their “Jingle All The Way” tour. Managed to grab a couple of nice seats for my wife and myself, and very much looking forward to it!
I am seeing them on Dec 11 at Eastman, the venue this clip comes from.

Not really a show, Nicko Mcbrain, the retired drummer from Iron Maiden owns a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale called Rock N Roll Ribs. Every December, he throws a huge anniversary party in the parking lot. The whole day will be bands playing under a huge tent culminating with his own Iron Maiden tribute band, Titanium Tart. If you find yourself in Ft Lauderdale on December 6th, come on by! I may even have some mead for tasting!

Apparently floats will be showcasing local bands of all sorts , plus the regular holidaze floats in general. Should be pretty whippin’

Saw Heart last night. They put on an terrific show. Ann and Nancy Wilson are great. They also did three Zeppelin covers but alas not Stairway to Heaven… oh well it still was excellent!

OK, that was awesome. Got to sit in on the sound check and do a Q&A session with the band. They are seriously down to earth and hella cool. Victor was awesome!

In the show he played a really interesting Fodera at one point:
I’d been eyeing it and wondering what the large cutout was all about. Then realized it was because he also plays it with a bow and this gives better access to the strings with the bow.
They also had the Tuvan throat-singing group sit in with them at various times. I’d never heard that live - WOW!
