Wha wha whaaaa???

Green Lung have been a favorite of mine for the last few years.
This sounds like a dream billing.
Clutch has perhaps the mightiest of all grooves in the world of rock.
Please post a photo or two of the show and a word about how it went!!!

I want to say he is about the same height as me, 5’9". I met him a couple times and he didn’t seem overly tall but you’re right, Dio was short. The first time I met Joey was late at night in a Hampton Inn lobby in Ft Lauderdale. My wife was talking to the front desk people and I was just milling about when Joey and his wife walked in the back door. I didn’t recognize him right away. I said to him, “man, I know you from somewhere, where are you from?”. He replied “Syracuse” . we chatted a couple seconds then they got in the elevator. About an hour later, it dawned on me! I saw him the next morning and apologized for not recognizing him! There was a good chuckle!

This is maybe the best Stoner Metal name ever.

Well, not good at taking pics or reviews
I did enjoy the show. Had seen Green Lung at Hellfest end of June and Clutch at the same venue in 2022, so I knew what to expect.
I enjoyed the show, Clutch have just so many good songs, they are really 100% live.
Anyway, here’s a link to a photographer that knows how to take photos at concerts

And here’s mine :face_with_peeking_eye:

I wouldn’t really call them a Stoner band. The music feels more anchored in the NWOBHM, but that might just be my opinion. They are heavy though

And there are so many fantastic names for stoner bands…
Belzebong, Stoned Jesus…

What a phenomenal show.
Love the shamanic totem up there with Green Lung!!

Also, agree on the genre-definition.
They are moving very firmly into stadium metal lords with their new album, and the scope that this newer stuff is taking.

Thanks heaps for the report back! I like to live vicariously through you Europeans who get to see all the bands I don’t!

It was actually bone dry until the very end when it rained about 60 seconds. The temp was nice for a south Florida day! Great show!

Just got home, what an awesome show. It was kind of an odd crowd. I saw Idles (popular now, first album came out in 2018) in this venue back in May and comparing the 2 I think the average age of the crowds swung younger tonight… for the 30+ year old Riot Grrl punk band. It seemed like it was mostly women my daughters’ ages (mid 20’s). Looked like both bassists were rocking Fender P’s. Peter Hook and the Light is next, in 4 weeks.
