I was looking at one of these just a few days ago. I like it. I don’t know what it sounds like but it’s medium scale and I like that! I wish there were more 32” out there. I just discovered the Fender Pawnshop reverse is a 32” too.
Pawnshop? does that mean it’s a USA made model?
I must say, that looks pretty awesome!
Pawnshop was a series of instruments that were a little off the wall, kind of like today’s Paranormal. They are MIM or MIJ. I have one I restored, and it is MIM but super high quality
As far as I know it’s made in Mexico.
I was looking at one on reverb today that was mij and surprised at that.
If anyone fancy’s a pink EHB1000S, same model as mine, there’s one for sale for just over £575 in Southampton (UK).
Hear me Roar!
There’s a MIM up for sale on Marketplace here for $750 as well as this fun Yamaha for the same price. Both are 32” scale.
MIJ, and a good price usually you see these closer to $1500
I have one that is MIM and it is exceptional quality. It now has a Novak humbucker; I found it cheap with one of the small mustang split pickups so I put it back to original, or as close as I could easily
beautiful. it’s funny, and i’ve read articles on it, how prs is pretty much THE guitar that everybody drools over but they haven’t really ever made headway in the bass market.
They have some bass models and they are all good!
I really like PRS. Plus Paul is funny as hell, he’s No Filter Guy.
i would have bought this in one hot second 15 years ago. $3400 at thomanns ![]()
I have several basses that cost more than that, but I don’t now, nor do I plan to ever buy, a Rick. Even though Chris Squire created some outstanding bass lines on one, and Geddy Lee did great work with his, they just don’t ring my GAS bell.
And this shorty Rick has the same “flaw” as a Squier Rascal and my G&L Fullerton Fallout…the bridge is to far up the body, turning a shorty into basically a long scale by reach to the first fret.
I like the H22s but the cost…I could get a Dingwall and a Mayones
