Thanks all for the wall hanger help!

Looking at the grain I’d say Oak.

I am a real newb in the bass world. After I retired I tried guitar for a bit then saw the black Ibanez on the right and thought, hmmmm.
The Eb-o was bought in parts. I replaced the bridge (hipshot) and the pickup (dimarco) and all the electronics. The original pup was a ruin.
I’m really enjoying the journey, now if only I could get the left hand and right hand to work together

That will come with practice @Elkabong,
hang in there,

That shouldn’t be an issue at all.
Tape wouds are a very specialized sound I have found. Only have them on my AE fretless (which I am getting rid of, not due to the tapes, due to I don’t want a fretless AE).

They do sound amazing on that bass though.

I caved.
I am now a Stingray club member.
I kept telling myself I wanted a different color, but then realized I liked this conig better than all the other available colors out there. And $1600 for a basically new Stingray HH BFR was too good to pass up. I have to believe I can make the money back at a later time if need be. To help fund it the Michael Kelly AE fretless I have will get sold though, I didn’t care for the neck setup (fret spacing) anyway, they fret spacings were super long and messed me up.

That’s a beautiful Ray @John_E. I hope it sounds as good as it looks.

That sounds a little oxymoronic to me

Beautiful choice. I might even take an HH in that color.
Actually, I can see real MM stingray4hh’s, and / or Sterling Ray4hh’s with upgraded pick ups being pretty good.
I just couldn’t get into the Ray4hh with stock pickups, and sold it since I couldn’t really afford 2 new pickups at the time.
I am sure you will love it - as long as you are happy with a wider neck. I prefer the Ray4 and SLO (jazz with modern C) necks to the wider Stingray necks, but I do like the bigger necks, I just prefer the smaller ones.

Yes, we all have to play our part to keep the economy ticking over . Nice existing collection too - what is the bass second from the right (wood stain?).

It’s an Ibanez SR650 @Bassdacious

Ahh, I saw one of these last week and liked the look of it - funny how you keep getting drawn back to the same instrument - might have to go and check it out . What are you thoughts on it? Do you know what the difference is between that and the 600? I see some suppliers stock the 600 and some the 650.

Difference is in the pickups. SR650 is a PJ design, similar to a Spector has the reversed split at the neck. SR600 has humbuckers.

I love the SR @Bassdacious
It was my first bass of any quality and certainly made me appreciate the better things in life. Fast neck, very light and just a pleasure to play. I still use her as a go to bass especially when I’m learning something new. I’m sure I don’t use her to her full abilities either but I certainly wouldn’t entertain swapping her at any point in the near future.

She’s a beaut!

It generally a white pickguard fan but I think it’s stunning on this bass !
