Isn’t that a 5 string?
Pretty sure it’s the truss rod fitting that it tensions against. Maybe check StewMac truss rod replacement vids?
Ah yes. But haven’t seen one with a nut adjustment exposed. Will need to research later
Nope
Damn, they call that a Tele?
I much prefer the G&L ASAT (Tele body) Bass.
I mean, that is a great looking bass, but I am a tele fan, and I do want a tele shaped bass at some point.
It could be reference holes for routing and drilling the body and neck to match each other.
That’s is one bitchen hockey stick Fender man. Are stereo a lot if finger noise on the string with the piezo? Love the color. Is it a solid body or semi hollow?
Semi.
Piezo is noisy like a piezo.
It just doesn’t blend properly with the p pickups.
The Ps are THUMPY as hell on this thing. That’s what made me want it.
When I resting it I’ll put some sound clips before née electronics.
Can’t wait to get the electronics and see what it does.
Love the binding. I want to learn how to do that. I betcha the learning curve is a mile. Too many precision points to achieve, lol.
Check out Crimson Guitars on YouTube. He just did an insane binding build for a competition.
That guy is certifiably crazy, lol.
Ok mine got in earlier today. I’ve been playing as shipped for the last 2 hours or so. Everything seems tight and well put together. The thumb rest groove is a good idea but the thumb rests too far down to be helpful for me at least.
Now the fun begins. Set it up to how I like it. It’s light thought I haven’t put it on the scale yet but I’ll say 8 pounder
So cool and unique! What’s the cover under the bridge for?
Very nice! Monster pedalboard with so much variation for tone!
I imagine having a bit of a tilt is also good for sliding over in your office chair when recording your amp if that’s something you ever do, unless you record directly in.
Love the look of your new baby @Al1885
Nice.
I find them, umm, almost disturbing to look at, but I hear they play like a dream
Piezo potentiometer adjustment. It’s a candy bar/piezo setup. It’s sounds warm. Actually a bit too warm. I’ll figure it out tomorrow
If I had to pick one word to describe that, I’d say “elegant”.
Wow! That looks very, very Ibanez, and yet cool and unique at the same time.
I kinda understand better now why you are looking for a new amp/cab. ![]()
I’m very impressed with Ibanez lately. They really go full out on guitars and basses.
